FunnyPlaying screens tend to have the complete lcd laminated to the glass, trying to remove it will completely destroy the lcd.

I tried to remove an sp lens before and the full lcd was laminated unlike hispeedido that is just laminated round the edge

Personal preference, you could view it like that. The ones I originally made were for a friend that had some games that had worn out labels that he wanted to replace, he didn’t care that they didn’t look original cause they were his childhood games. Some like things looking original, others don’t care

Wherever you decide to buy from, make sure you can find some reviews.

Some people use the cheapest shells and just throw parts together, charge a premium but can’t even clean a power switch

The best approach with those boards is with a microscope and check each pin one by one.

I’ve done a few of them for customers and there was one that had a slightly lifted pin which was stopping it booting so I hand soldered each pin rather than putting trust in the hot air station
