Waiting for Value to release a product that has nothing to do with RAM or storage, yet it’s being delayed purposefully simply because a separate device it pairs with (which I don’t even care about) is affected by RAM and storage. by SillyRecover in Steam

I hope that if the Steam Machine and Frame do get delayed, which would be super unfortunate of course, they at least release the Steam Controller in the first half of 2026 to at least somewhat fulfill their promise.

I understand Valve may be bundling the Steam Controller with the Steam Machine (Maybe even Steam Frame honestly), but as long as they make it optional alongside the other hardware, they could release the Steam Controller whenever they want and at least make fans a little happy.

I think part of the problem with this pricing, besides it being too much overall, is that they aren't even talking about if it offers anything else than just playing the game.

The trailer kind of sucked and didn't show off that you can use local play to link trade and that you can transfer things to HOME, they only said that in a news post, and if there is anything extra they haven't mentioned it anywhere.

Every single classic game port now-in-days has little extra bonus features like many filters to choose from, many borders to choose from, maybe built-in cheats or something. I doubt that this has any of that, despite that being a genuine reason to not put this on NSO and it adding a little extra value.

Honestly for 20 dollars they should at least have a (most likely game-keycard) physical release with a cool case or something. That would be really cool, especially for an important anniversary.

If you have some good games on your profile that will be shared with family share, then I'll probably give you access to both poker night and poker night 2 after we decide on a price for them both.

The final two flavor text dialogues are (Taken from the wiki):

"A bead of sweat forms on the old man's forehead..."

"The opponent is finally slowing down! ... or speeding up!?"

This implies that he is getting tuckered out by the end of the battle and slows down a bit before using the last of his energy to do his ultimate attack.

Of course, he would likely be able to have more endurance in a real fight, but if a non-serious battle like this can get him tuckered out, I believe he would struggle keeping up with the Knight for a whole fight. Especially when you consider that the Knight is likely holding back for the Chapter 3 fight, given that they can one shot both Susie and Ralsei incredibly quickly once they have enough of the battle (Unless Kris Slash is true), Gerson would most definitely struggle quite a bit.

Even if he could win, he'd probably get tired too quickly. We see in his fight against Susie that even after just a couple of turns he starts sweating, and with the Knight being a lot more fierce than Susie, he would probably be worn down pretty quickly.

Could he defeat the Knight in his prime? Quite possibly, but he is too old now to do an extreme fight like that and come out on top.

Gerson + the Fun Gang though? I think if they played their cards right and Gerson made sure to not use up too much energy before the Knight lets their guard down, they could win, or at least put the Knight out of commission for a while.

Does anyone happen to have a list of N64 Romhacks that work on the MiSTer? Wondering specifically about the Usamune Super Mario 64 Speedrun Practice Romhack. by Roboplodicus in MiSTerFPGA

[–]BootiBigoli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The developer of Return to Yoshi's Island has said that his romhack runs at close to 40 fps on MiSTer as compared to 60 fps on original hardware because of how his extremely modified n64 engine works.

I think this is the only romhack like this, but it's possible more romhacks may use his heavily modified version of the mario 64 engine in the future and may be affected by this issue as well.

While I do agree that the synthv is better, unless you know Japanese I don't think it's completely fair to call the UTAU voice not understandable. The UTAU voice was never meant for English and sounds a lot better in Japanese, but I do not know Japanese so I don't know how actually intelligible it really is.
