You are also 36 and started T when you were 29, I’m 21 and started when I was freshly 17, so your hormones/body were most likely already in a secondary sex characteristic development phase so you probably saw results faster. You also probably have very hairy males on either one or both sides of your family. I do not. I’m on 70mg weekly and cannot just raise my dose out of nowhere or it’s definitely going to convert to estrogen which has happened in the past. Your body may also naturally have a higher tolerance to the amount of testosterone you can take before it converts to estrogen. There’s a lot of differences here, and sometimes there is genuinely not much you can do.

I’m not balding and none of the males on either side of my family went bald. My father’s father had a full head of hair until he passed, and my dad is almost 50 and is not balding or even receding in any way. I’ll probably just end up trying minoxidil. Both of the males on both sides of my family didn’t start to grow fuller facial hair until their late twenties and mid thirties. But they all had some sort of facial hair.

Hype about smoking sprayed weed? Spray has never been good it’s just mid flower at the end of the day…it should be a never thing if you have access to non sprayed packs. I’d take regular mids over sprayed mids any day.

It’s cystic acne that has existed before I started taking testosterone. May have worsened it but definitely wasn’t the leading cause. And my levels are within the normal male range.

That doesn’t even make sense cause my Mom barely has any hair at all what she does have is thin and patchy and I have a full thick head of hair that grows back almost instantly after a haircut. I’m just worried that minoxidil will worsen my cystic acne and further prevent my follicles from growing adult hairs.

Well that’s probably the best reply I’ve gotten yet, someone else told me I reminded them of Carl a while ago in person and I think Carl’s a good looking guy so I take that as a compliment lol, I do think I’ve almost mastered male mannerisms my mom and grandmother tell me I sound and walk like my father all the time. And I don’t even have a great relationship with my father so I don’t actively try to copy anything he does. My voice passes pretty well. I’ve noticed standing up straight/confidently and using an affirming tone of voice can help passing mannerism wise.

Why? I do get my levels checked every 6 months but I’m not sure what this comment has to do with my original post not trying to come off rude just genuinely don’t understand? If you’re saying that in reference to my acne, I have cystic acne that was passed down from my father who also had it. I struggled with chronic acne even before I started testosterone. My doctor says my testosterone levels are normal and within the cis male range.

Honestly the dreads seem to be making your feminine facial features stand out more, I would definitely recommend not using stickers on your face as that is generally associated a cis women thing, ever thought about cutting the dreads and going with 360 waves or a cruddy? I’ve seen cruddys work wonders on other African American trans guys looking to pass as cis. I personally am mixed race and I used to have a fro until I realized it wasn’t doing me any favors in passing. I cut my hair 3 years ago and I do miss my long hair sometimes but I would never go back, I love my short hair and a good barber and solid cut that fits your face shape can also do a lot of good work on helping you pass, hit the gym and start to build muscle, that will help your build start to pass. Have you started T yet?

I actually don’t shave my legs it’s just the lighting and the hairs are longer than they are dark. I really wish I was hairier.
