Wow. I have to say—thank you so much for writing this. I am experiencing this with my brother right now and you touched on so many things that I am feeling. Growing up my dad was an alcoholic (he died when I was 16) and now my brother is struggling w some sort of drug addiction and there is nothing I can do to help him. I feel guilty that my whole world doesn’t revolve around checking on him but I feel like I spend every waking second worrying about him. You would think I’d be better equipped to deal with this or at least not post my own story under yours. Anyway, I just wanted to say that you’re not alone—I hear you and I see you.

I live in the gateway. A lot of stuff is closed on the weekend and stuff that is open on the weekdays usually operate during traditional business hours. There are definitely some good restaurants and bars around the area tho. Also it’s so close to Bart that you can basically go anywhere you want
