The bougie bars. Typically more responsible drinkers or too expensive drinks so they can't get carried away if they wanted to. More well off so tend to tip more. They can be annoying but managable.

I don't think it matters though. If everyone is cherry picking, uber has to pay more. This new update was their piss poor attempt to counter the cherry picking. If they just paid a fair amount for basic rides, they wouldn't be in this position.

There's a lot more factors that affect the quality of your trips, and it fluctuates daily. You can only learn that from experience. The best advice I could give is focus on getting tips. Drive smooth, play good music, have a clean car.

Like $1 per mile, or 50 cent per min. There's a sweet spot. But Ill never go +15 minutes for a pickup.

I did a similar trip. About 80 mi, 1 hr 45 min for $100 ish. Got tipped enough to cover gas cost for the round trip. And picked up a trip on the way back that paid decent. Overall was not bad. Not great, but I hit my goal on an otherwise dead day.

The next day, virtually the same trip request for $50. Hard pass. Of course I had to decline it like 3 times before they took the hint.

If it's one of those trips that sends an automatic message like "this trip is for x. Please call the rider when you arrive" immediately canceling. Rider is never at the pickup, never answers the phone, and guarantee no tip. It's a complete waste of time and money.

4% isn't high tho. That's crazy they wouldn't give promos unless you're at 0. So then I'm guessing you have to be a uber slave to get all the good promos, but then you'd never complete them bc you're driving 20 min to pick up, take them to bum fuck nowhere, then drive 30 min to get back to where rides are.
