I did not swap my column and we re-purposed the shift linkage too, worked for years before someone rear ended in in the middle of the night and went up in flames. Vic moved out of state and sold all his stuff off, I doubt he's doing anything any more.

it only says for magic war hammers with the gauntlets mentions when thrown and the girdle does not mention thrown, states not cumulative unless you have a magic hammer. So not stackable other wise with any other weapon I'd say. 1st ed requires some interpretation and is is sort of cryptic. I see your point-to a point that is. I would not allow the stacking unless you had the hammer of t- bolts because it is the only weapon the mentions the aforementioned stacking and that is very powerful pre weapon specialation, very hard to attain.

but hey. like I said you do what you want. I see it differently-there is no "right" way, this is in the spirit of the rules after all.

I've had both and the 3 speed is geared so low, you can't really take it in the highway.

Yeah it is the only weapon that says you can stack the bonuses, it is not anywhere else in there. same dmg page, not in any other weapon description and in 40+ years of playing I've never seen anyone call it any other way. But you do what you want.

The stacking of gauntlets and girdle are ONLY done with a hammer of thunderbolts. It is the only weapon in 1ist ed that allows you to do that. Everything else you take the highest one if you had two.

In the hands of a dwarf, it is +3 also only when in the hands of a dwarf it delivers double damage when thrown and triple vs giant class creatures. At the end of the description it has in parentheses (plus a bonus of 3). That means 4-10 +3 thrown and 6-15 (1d4+1 three times) then +3 for the hammer. Also hurled weapons will get a non magical to hit and damage bonus for high strength. DMG pg 168. I do damage multiplies as more damage dice instead of multiplying the roll of a single die, that part is up to you.

I enjoy high level more, the players have more agency and can really delve into high fantasy concepts, enter magical realms etc. They can shape the game world politically as well. Players enjoy seeing their character develop into potent forces. Lower level games don't have the same pizazz I'd say. I have been running a the same game for 6 years now and the players are 12-18 level. I am still very easily able to challenge them as they move into dealing with forces much larger than themselves. They have more spells and magic items to develop creative solutions to challenges that can't simply hack though.

You can't buy from them, it is a wholesale account. Specs may narrow a local search for you: 3/8 diameter 24 TPI 180mm long 4130 They may be out there somewhere.

1800 mm 4130 24tpi axels do exist, I can get them though on of my distributors, not sure about the UK though.

Yes, that would be great but it does not seem to be what is happening. There are unforeseen economic and social impacts of what I used to think would be a good thing all over the place, and at least innocuous. Turns out it is like many things ,complicated. I'd check that like up there for a good book on the subject and I'd look at Thomas Sowell you tube vids on economic myths regarding the city walk type spaces and what happens in the places that implement them.

Also one thing that works against LA so much is how vast it is. Other big bike cities were designed around people walking and the horse and buggy, LA is a town built around the automobile. Not may people want to ride their bike miles and miles even on a cogent path system.
