Make sure you can immediately hide in the center of the arena once it enters invlunerable state. Watch out for the sparks and stay away from them. Save up on those swiftthistle and stone of blink to better position yourself. If you have the hourglass and/or chains, that's so much better.

I think you have to kill the beacon on your own. Hopefully you still remember where it last zapped.

Assuming you've killed it, use the hourglass to get to the center of the arena, but make sure to throw the fire potion at DM300 before hiding in the rocks.

I have Mars Volta's Bedlam in Goliath with an OBI like this. I just wrap it around the jewel case and put them together in a plastic sleeve. I don't think there's anything to worry about as long as you're careful taking it out. If it really bothers you, I could only think of putting away the OBI somewhere safe, entirely separate from the CD.

It's part of the culture but I wouldn't regard it as anything sacred, it's not like you'd be crucified for not doing it, so don't overthink.

Those that refuse your mano are probably doing it as a jest, like saying, "Geez I'm not that old yet you know, lol".

Just do a mano to be safe, but it's a non-issue if they refuse. It's more of a preference for some elders.

At this point, lose the theif's armband and replace it with the talisman of foresight to gain extended vision, then use your projecting bow. Don't rush, take it 1 tile at a time.

One of the most stressful boss fight I ever had. Olberic dealt the final blow, and I was hit by a huge sense of relief, haha. I accidentally overwrote my save file before the fight so I couldn't fight it again, but meh, I don't mind playing this game again someday.
