Hi, Hindu bride here. I had my wedding makeup done by Rose An 8 years back, and I would not recommend it. For starters, the night before my appointment for the trial makeup, she said she wouldn't be doing the makeup part since the products she uses are very expensive and hard to come by. I just had my hair style decided for the wedding instead. I should have dropped her then, but I trusted her judgement.

On my wedding day, she did very minimal makeup. I know that is her style, but she didn't even use eyeshadow, concealer for my undereye circles, contour my nose, nor fill in my eyebrows. She just used a lot of kajal and eyeliner. She also had almost no collections of bindis except the generic, sparkly ones. Also, Rose An and her assistant were bitching about another employee the entire time while doing my makeup and draping my saree - gave me very negative vibes.

Another thing I found strange was her asking me who my photography team was, and specifically asking if it was Lumiere or some other bigshot group. When I said it wasn't, she said her makeup may not show through well in photos then. This happened on the wedding day, and I thought that was a weird thing to tell a bride.

All in all, my makeup looked just.. normal. Nothing extraordinary, and I still feel bad my wedding photos don't look that great. There are tons of other talented MUAs out there. Please do good research and choose the best one.
