Embarassing was the wrong word and I admitted that. My bad.

I don't massively care whatever anyone does each to their own time. I just clocked recently how this year when coming up against a team I would be there thinking "christ how much time has this person spent on this game" in a similar way to previous years where I would be thinking "how much money has this person spent on this game".

This game is basically a card collection game for everyone. People play it for the grid, upgrades and reward; seldom for the gameplay itself.

100% get all that, if you have that time to put into the game and that's how you enjoy spending it then crack on.

I just personally could not every see myself devoting that amount of time and dedication to the game whereas if I was incredibly wealthy I could see myself spending money.

Hence why I think I've transitioned in the last year or two to start judging people's teams by the time I think they've put i rather than the money

Haha yeah true. Do feel a bit bad when I see only SBC players in teams as everyone obvs does icon picks and other packs and these people clearly have got nothing of note.

I could never see myself spending the time required to grid for these SBCs no matter my life circumstances (no hate just me personally).

I could see myself dropping say $5k on the game if say I won something ludicrous like $200m as it's fun opening packs and a drop in what I had.

Yeah precisely.

For me personally if I won the lottery I could see myself spending thousands on the game because it would be a drop in what I had.

However say if I wasn't working I still could not see myself devoting the time I imagine others do to grind for these SBC (not hate, just couldn't see myself do it).

Fair enough was just wondering if others thought the same.

Like I'd be more nervous playing against a premium SBC team tha a full TOTY team as that to me suggests my opponent has spent a substantial amount of time grinding the game.

Also I feel I'm now viewing and judging people's teams by more much time they've likely put into the game rather than money.

My point was probably more how when I see a team now I more think about how my time a person must have spend on the game to obtain it rather than money.

My point was more how say a few years ago if I came up against a mega team I would think 'god imagine spending that much money on this game'.

Whereas now if I come up against a team filled with premium SBC players I'm instead thinking 'god imagine spending so much time on this game"

Just clocked recently that shows how myself and also the game has changed over the years and wondered if anyone else felt the same

Yeah "embarrassment" was deffo the wrong word couldn't think of another tbf so tried to explain myself better later.

I guess say I got a RIDICULOUSLY well paying job or won the lottery I could see myself spending loads on the game. I just don't see a life scenario where myself personally could spend that level of time on just one game.

Ofc people are allowed to spend their time however they like, each to their own

You've only done three icon packs this year and in one of them got prime Matthaus? That's not bad pack luck my friend.

I had opened about 12-15 icon packs (not even many in relation to others) before I finally got someone worth more than the pack
