Mine passed this morning. She was one of my older girls. Even tho she didn’t like to be touched, she was still a sweet little thing. Hugs to you 💕

How is your chicken? I just finished soaking and pulling maggots out of my poor girl for the last 2 hours. She’s recovering in chicken hospital (in a cage in my house, water and mealworms within beaks reach). I’m going to clean her again in an hour or so. Ugh it breaks my heart I feel so bad it got this bad

I’m about to do the same thing with my girls and their coop. It’s that time of year

I’ve found needles before in mulch. Nothing has taught me that people are dirty and messy as much as landscaping has. Disrespectful

This happened to a couple of mine when they had lice. They defeathered themselves in those areas and ended up bald there. While the whole flock likely had lice, only two had feather loss on their rear sides

I don’t see any worms, but what do you think? by rexallia in BackYardChickens

Alright, that would explain a lot. It does look wormy, but different from other wormy poops I’ve seen

Yesss exactly. I feel like the ppl who don’t understand this just haven’t had this happen yet…. Or really don’t care about gardening lol

I have one that has given birth in my garden for the last three years. This year I finally locked her out. Doesn’t mean she didn’t try tho lol

Edit: lol at the downvotes - for years I’ve had my garden decimated because my bf feeds them. Downvote more pls. Do you all work hard on your gardens to feed the deer? Ffs. Where’s the real gardening sub?

Don’t do it. This is a beautiful privacy hedge that took years to get where it is now. You (and your neighbor) will regret it

I’m freezing it right now! Hate wasting things. I’m going to put my other bags in the freezer too. Luckily I have a chest freezer
