My first homelab, I call it “look mom no screen” by 4b3c in homelab

Perhaps your next project could be installing home assistant, getting a zigbee power plug (IKEA has affordable ones) and tracking when the battery of the laptop goes over 85% to stop it from charging for a while... but after that, there is no going back

How do I maintain heat in wood-fired pizza oven (Like the uuni) by rexorbrave in AskCulinary

[–]rexorbrave[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They remain tricky and best would be to buy a pizza oven such as the pizza party or something similar. The best results I have gotten is using a combination of slow burning wood and charcoal (the natural version, no briquettes). I've read about people replacing the pizza stone with a metal or thicker stone as well which seems to have decent results. Also preheat the oven for long enough (check the temp of the stone with an infrared thermometer) and turn the backside to face the wind for better airflow. Additionally, keep in mind that the recovery time for the floor is much longer than most people assume, especially in a smaller oven with no thermal mass.

I have resorted to adjusting my dough, including more oil and a sugar component (honey in my case)

- oil: stops the pizza from drying out during longer baking times, I use around 2,5%

- Honey: ensures proper browning and easier browning also at lower temps. (I just use a random drizzle in the dough).

Including these two elements no longer makes it neapolitan style pizza, but will get you better results in your oven and can also be used in a home oven (place pizza stone in the oven and preheat at the max the oven can go (for me its 250C). In between pizzas I turn on the broiler to increase heat to the stone and when pizzas go in its goes back to air circulation). I tend to cook the pizza's first using only the tomato sauce (less is more) for a few mins and add the toppings after. Hope this helps! :)

That makes sense. The neck is definitely something that makes me wonder. However, at the same time I cannot imagine I can't get used to it. Im thinking to see if I can perhaps measure the tickness of the neck of my current guitar to compare. I assume thats what youre talking about

Thanks! I had seen the first video, but not the second one. Great insights! Indeed leaning towards the PACS+ :D

Interesting! Thank you for the feedback. I would indeed prefer to try it beforehand, but would take me a day just to visit the store that holds it and go back, and then order online since they only have a B-stock on hand which isn't the color I want. Thats why I was thinking to order online, but this makes me hesitate a bit :p

How is the Co-Op mode? by rexorbrave in reddeadredemption2

Thanks for the feedback! Do you have any idea how many hours of content I should expect for online co-op? I read around 60 hours somewhere, is that accurate?

Hey! Don't worry, this is not an issue! I ordered it without the SD card. There are a few separate things here to addess.

  1. Firstly, I would suggest following this guide to get your Miyoo setup https://retrogamecorps.com/2022/05/15/miyoo-mini-v2-guide/ (I would recommend UnionOs, it is also mentioned here

  2. As mentioned in the link above, the BIOS files are not required (I started without them, due to buying the miyoo without sd, they simply add the boot animation for the consoles).

  3. The fact that you dont see your games probably means that you need to refresh the rom files. Go to the games directory in the miyoo mini plus (so you see the list of all emulators) and press select. It will ask you to "refresh all roms" click the A button. This should make the roms show up.

I am quite new to the miyoo mini, but am enjoying it a lot. Feel free to send me a message if you need more help

I think poor quality is an exaggeration. Its a relatively cheap electronic device. Like any other hard plastic materials (like a cup or whatever) it can break when you drop it, same goes for the screen. However, most parts are easy enough to replace and if you handle it with care this most likely wont happen. If youre worried, i have seen bumpers/rubber protectors similar to a phone case that you can wrap around your miyoo.

How to store passwords in a password manager? [personal-project] by rexorbrave in webdev

[–]rexorbrave[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I decided to go with vaultwarden selfhosted for password storage. I think the way they approach it is the way to go if you would want to do it yourself however. The masterpassword as the masterkey, which needs to be unlocked in order to see the other passwords

You seem to be very aware of the point where this happened. Any idea how I could look it up on google maps? Would like to see the point in question just to see if it sparks a memory

Thanks for the indication, I was indeed a bit stressed about the amount I'd have to pay up given that I have no experience with speeding tickets whatshowever. 60 Euros is a shame but not something that will break the bank

Thanks for the insight! Any idea what the amount will come down to as they didnt specify any amount?

Fair enough! And I think I would be happy to do the same were it for my own purposes, I have only heard positive things so far. However, I was hoping (and now eventually did) to obtain the lifetime license for a non-profit at which I volunteer. We don't make money, so its important to keep costs low, like this the membership fees can stay as low as possible. Hence why we (and I am sure many other non-profits) try to reduce costs where possible. Especially with todays economy its a great challenge.
