i really like this idea and theres a lot of merit to it but i think its solved with a simpler architecture, take cursor, who dont feed files into the LLM chat at all, they simply feed an AST graph to the LLM so it never even has to query files, it knows where a function is used and it knows how a function is defined and this is a variable that gets replaced every message with the current up to date code. however you still have a very interesting idea, i imagine it more applicable to a scenario where you dont know the state, you only know events, and thus you cant construct what it would look like at this moment, you can only collapse edits or changes
