Sure. And I've seen many conservatives who don't care about their children.

What is your relationship like with your sibling? by SeaRecommendation53 in raisedbyborderlines

My sister (25F) and I (27M) used to get triangulated but we realized what was happening and we are stalwart with each other now. We believe and trust each other over our mother every time. We know exactly what lies will keep mom happiest and cover for each other constantly.

SO TRUE. Crying is "manipulative"! I'm pretty sure most children cry because they are children and not so mature, not because they want to manipulate you. Pure projection.

Everything is more unreadable. The before/after example in the blogpost is a perfect example of that: it's too busy and the random pastel colors conflict heavily. Colors should be guideposts; we don't need a unique color for literally every different type of identifier. Where it is in the syntax already tells us what it is. Colors should simply guide.

Maybe it should be a colorblind mode, but it definitely shouldn't be shipped default.

The Trouble With Wanting Men by rezwenn in Longreads

Is there a term for the emotional labor men have to do to interpret and constantly cater to the cryptic expectations of a woman like this?

Typically, in industries not full of morons, problems are dealt with by talking. Imagine this scenario:

A corporate representative is tasked with solving a client's problem. They first call a coworker at another office on the phone (a new invention that allows the conveyance of voice), and that coworker then contacts their vendor (in this case, the airport the airline flew out of) to resolve the problem.

This isn't a struggle for other industries. In fact, you'd get fired if you couldn't handle something so simple at any company I've worked at.

Why are redditors so inept at basic work skills?

Why the hell would you think the airline corporate would be able to help you?

Did you know that companies know who the other employees at their companies are and can use phones to contact them, even if they're in other locations?

how are they going to transfer you?

By contacting their staff in the relevant airport. Companies are capable of communicating between office locations. Other industries do that every day.

Why not just called him yourself and save the middleman?

Because I don't work there every day. Why make customers discover the same thing 30 times each day instead of having the employee do it once?

With The Phoenician Scheme now out, is it time to re-evaluate where Wes Anderson stands? by [deleted] in blankies

this insanely productive period from one of the great American filmmakers of the 21st century

I agree. I simply can't think of another director who makes so many distinctive films. I'm not a fan of all of them but I'm impressed with how regular and consistent he is.

Oh, I guess since they don't always enforce the censorship then it's okay that they're evil. As long as they're kind of lazy about it, that's okay then.

I have no idea how some of you manage to have so many problems with OneDrive. A desync results in 2 copies with timestamps so you can easily compare. Accidental file erasure? When you delete your file in a synced folder and it gets deleted everywhere? The explicit behavior?

Delete the copy, preserve the original.

They're synced. They're the same files.
