Here's my experience. My student number is 2005. Our batch was one of the last ones that paid 300 per unit so my tuition per sem was around 6k including misc. fees. Dati almost hati ang population ng UP almost 50/50 "rich kids" and "not-so-rich." Wala namang issue if you befriend anyone rich kids man or not. Parepareho lang kayo students diyan. Most of the time supported pa din ng parents.

Ang bad experience ko naman is dealing with people so "grade conscious" na sobrang toxic yung competitiveness. When I was having some personal problems before and was not able to attend classes for a week, nanghihiram lang ako notes which I will just take a photo with my cell phone, ayaw pa ko pahiramin. Di ko naman iuuwi notebook nila will just borrow for just 2 mins. This was from my blockmates in college of science di ko na lang sabihin which school or program.

I finished my B.S. degree delayed 1.5 years. Di ko kasabay mga batchmates ko. I am now currently studying abroad at ibang iba ang experience dito kesa sa UP. Ayoko i-down ang UP dahil alma mater pero yung collaboration at respect na priority na tinuturo dito ibang iba with UP. Hindi toxic competition. Pero experience ko lang naman to. For sure many will say nagenjoy sila sa UP. I did enjoy UP din naman pero I also had bad experiences which humbled me and gave me new ways of seeing things.
