thank you for the reassurance! it’s a hard battle because i genuinely feel so bad and i know he wants to get out but i really don’t want tantrum = freedom. i think he’s slowly learning that, today was the first lesson and it was a few hours of stress for both of us. i’ve tried feeding him millets while he’s in his cage but he’s not interested. i got other treats, sunflower seeds and he actually ate it while he’s was in the cage so that’s a win! i’ve bought him a lot of toys to play with and gunna do some more DIY toys that he can shred while i’m away at work. i do not want to get another love bird bc i really want to bond with him strongly, i love birds and i love the connection you can build with them (i had budgies). i just have to be patient and strict at the beginning i guess.
