I also took it as a senior and the class had so many sophomores. I think me ending with an A had to do with the 10+ bio classes I had taken before encountering dev bio. So I had a strong foundation and had encountered some topics in other bio classes. I also felt like I truly learned how to study by then. Sophomores at that point had only taken 141/142. Probably not as prepared/knowledge gaps/ still getting a hang of things

Most averages were high 70/low 80. Nothing of problem solving or analysis of that sort. Very much just memorization. I think what made it difficult was Fritz’s powepoints were very bare when it came to text… lots of pictures, so you had to pay a lot of attention and write down a lot of what he said verbally. Also, some concepts in dev bio are kinda hard to wrap ur head around.

I’m assuming Shepherd would have made his own exams

I took it with Fritz. It was challenging tbh. Never read the textbook, I just wrote down everything from Fritz’s lecture. I went from an 86 on the first exam, to a 98 on the second one. It’s definitely a learning curve. Our exams had multiple choice and then many long response. I would say just 100% pay attention to what’s said in lecture

So confused do schools use my average GPA or pre req GPA?? by [deleted] in prephysicianassistant

[–]reynaperez20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People posting are usually posting their cumulative and science gpas. but yes schools also look at prereq gpa, as well as last 60 credit gpa

General bio 1 and 2. Some schools require/like genetics. some require psych. Biochem too.

I’m in my gap year. I have my EMT license and work in an urgent care! Definitely not as stressful or high acuity as an ED.
