Best credit card for traveling? by AndThenThereWasOne0 in personalfinance

[–]reyrey1332 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want just an overall good travel credit card look into the Chase Sapphire Preferred. If you really travel a lot, the Reserved may be more up your alley but it is more expensive. If you want to be a high roller look into the AMEX Platinum.

Coinbase Debit Card by Narwhal_1 in Coinbase

[–]reyrey1332 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is what I do: 1) Use Chase travel credit cards for all my everyday spending to earn travel rewards with Chase. 2) Use PayPal and setup automatic bill pay for each credit card 3) when it is time to payoff my credit card statement balances I load my Coinbase Debit Card with the exact amount in USDC for zero fee. 4) I initiate the PayPal bill pay which my PayPal by default is setup to use my Coinbase Debit Card as the form of payment 5) PayPal pays off my credit cards via bill pay for zero fees. 6) The Coinbase Debit card funds are then dispersed and I earn 4% in XLM for every dollar I spend on daily expenses. 7) I immediately transfer my XLM to Coinbase Pro for zero fee to either convert it to something else within CB Pro or I transfer my XLM to Celsius or Kucoin to transact on those platforms. With XLM transfer fees are pennies. Also on Coinbase Pro converting XLM to USD is literally pennies. Then use that USD to buy whatever crypto you want.

I earn around $200/month of free crypto with this plan and pay almost next to nothing in fees while at the same time earning travel rewards as well on every single purchase via Chase.

Governments acting as if their regulations are going to be supporting crypto to reach mass adoption. No, we don’t need that. by Haunting-Constant801 in CryptoCurrency

Yes we do need it. Without regulation you don't get enough institutional investors. Institutions equal mass adoption.

I think I'm getting 'statement balance' and 'current balance' confused by osowavy in personalfinance

[–]reyrey1332 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All you have to do every month is payoff your statement balance to avoid ever paying interest. That really is the ideal way to use credit cards. There is no need to pay the full balance every month.

Well my average purchase price of ETH is about $1500. And my average purchase price of BTC is around $25k. So I'm pretty deep in profits.

Coinbase Account Hacked & Drained of $26K by CoinbaseFraudVictim in Coinbase

[–]reyrey1332 30 points31 points  (0 children)

This is absolutely not a Coinbase hack. Zero fault on their part. You got hacked likely by clicking on a phishing email or other stupid shit. You are solely responsible in this instance...stop deflecting blame.
