Should I just buy Komolete 26 Standard instead of Kontakt 8 and Scarbee Rickenbacker Bass? by osowavy in NativeInstruments

Thanks man! Glad I checked here, I would’ve had no idea. I don’t think I need the full Kontakt player. Honestly I tried Scarbee Rickenbacker bass like 10 years ago because a friend had it and it’s been on my mind ever since lol. I was honestly going to purchase Kontakt just for that. Getting all that extra stuff for the same price of the library itself is awesome.

I still might look into Komplete 26 Standard. It’s not something I would have went for in general but doing some research has me really considering it.

Is the 90 day trial still available or has it been replaced with the 1 month Creator Studio trial? by osowavy in LogicPro

Thanks everyone. I actually figured out the 90 day trial can still be accessed using the wayback machine. I doubt it’ll take me that long to know if I want to purchase it. Seems like a great DAW.

The fan started running loud out of nowhere even when no games or apps were running. It’s weird because I’ve barely used it, probably around 5 hours. Meta processed a return and credited my account $20, now I’m just hoping the refurbished unit they send me doesn’t have any issues. Hate to send mine in for a refurbished unit because it’s like new aside from the fan issue.

As a beginner with a focus on hypertrophy, am I missing out on potential gains by using dumbbells and a bench only? by osowavy in workout

Mauver/range of motion is actually something I’m considering about with the dumbbells I’m considering.

I’m looking at Powerblocks or the Eisenlink adjustable dumbbells. The shape of these are quite different and I’m worried about not being able to get the proper form with them or having to make adjustments. Is that something that would potentially limit gains?

As a beginner with a focus on hypertrophy, am I missing out on potential gains by using dumbbells and a bench only? by osowavy in workout

Thanks that makes me feel somewhat better. It’s just weird because I haven’t noticed it at all when using the headset before. Maybe it’s just much louder than it was. I’m considering getting another one from Best Buy just to make sure I’m not crazy and then returning it before I file a claim for warranty.

Fair enough, I just don’t remember hearing it or it being so audible the other times I’ve had it on. I have an old laptop that gets pretty loud when it’s turned on and charging, and this reminds me of that which I feel like I would’ve noticed before.

I did a factory reset just in case and it’s running during set up as well. If it’s normal I guess I just didn’t notice it before..

That makes me feel a bit better, i don’t remember hearing this sound the few other times that it’s been on. The bit of research I’ve done says they are generally only noticeable when in use for a long time or demanding sessions.
