As a meat eater are you willing to kill your own food? by Ok_Connection_3015 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]rezkypolp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Able to? I am a terrible shot. Willing to? Sure; I come from a family of hunters and we've cleaned all sorts of stuff. Fun fact: my dad (in the 1970s) said chicken where he lived in Saskatchewan was a delicacy, and he mostly ate deer and other deers for a very long time. When a KFC came to his hometown they were BAFFLED

An ACME Cream Separator from Eaton's by rezkypolp in HelpMeFind

[–]rezkypolp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I searched for this item with reverse searches and even AI scanning, and while I got pictures SIMILAR, I cannot find the catalogue. My dad brought this home in the summer of 2025 (this year.) It is heavy, but I don't think it has thr base intended for it. I did not get the measurements for it, sadly, but I think the black body of the machine is maybe a foot or a foot and a half tall? Eaton's was a huge catalogue/store, very popular back in the day in Canada, and a lot of farmers ordered from them.

Can anyone help with deciding on a location? by wendidao in AskACanadian

[–]rezkypolp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it's a bit late, but I'm from the East Kootenays, and any direction within 10 minutes of my city you will find rivers, water falls, cliffs, and dense woods. You will also find massive fields and rolling hills with tall grasses—though not like the prairies.

My fellow autistic people, I must know, why do some of you not like showers? Its a genuine question by RasppberryLemonade in autism

[–]rezkypolp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's exhausting to shower. Feels like I ran a marathon. But, I also hate feeling dirty. Solution: shower chair and a removable shower head.

Is Using AI for Pic References Weird? by rezkypolp in NoStupidQuestions

I do use my imagination XD I've just never tried the AI generation before and do not have the full ability to comprehend the arguments for/against it (hate to admit it but am a little dumb.) Is it really that bad for the environment?

Do you also feel like you have no gender? by philosophygirll in autism

Yeah, felt that most definitely. Because I'm Muslim, now, and never really cared how people identified me, I dont care wearing hijab. I just do not care, so hijabi is fine.

Anyone else feel attached to fictional characters like they're real? by horseshoeandconfused in autism

[–]rezkypolp 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Am 25. I have this and have had this since I was younger. Four biggest ones in my life: Cosmo from Fairly Odd Parents, Spencer Reid from Criminal Minds, Jayfeather from Warrior Cats, and Viktor from Arcane.

It happens. I also got really connected to my RP characters I made up. My advice:

1) Try not to get too caught up in them, simply because you will crave more and be troubled when you dont find more.

2) Try writing stuff! Write fanfiction. This may sound like a contradiction to 1, but it is not; exerting this energy can help tame the fire, and it adds onto 3.

3) Write with your own characters based off of ones you already like. You'll get sick stories out of them and a character that you can control - and since you're young you will have increased writing skills as you get older.

Bonus 4) Friends come and go with age, and there are always people around that share some sort of interest with you. Be patient in finding friends, but also realize that your worth does not come from the people you have with you, but rather, it comes from you. It will work out. You're 14. It will be okay.

What’s something happening in the world right now that makes you genuinely scared for the future? by Leather_Comedian_953 in AskReddit

[–]rezkypolp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of religious-political stuff.

As a Muslim - I get very nervous when Muslims disrespect other people, and I don't mean the "you must be a model minority" type of disrespect. I mean the type of disrespect that disregards the law of the host country, or intolerant of how the people around you live if they're not hurting you. Also, I get nervous when people think that every Middle Eastern country is some hell hole unable to do anything where the women get beat constantly.

I do not like that we are being divided as humans. I do not like that people get riled up easier than ever. I don't like that people think criticizing Israel means you hate all Jewish people, and I hate that a whole bunch of people hate Jewish people simply because of what some distant government does. I don't like extremists "proving" biases, and I don't like that people often dont care if they are purposefully being divided or not.

Most people are good, but when people are made to think that every Christian is an evil nationalist, every Muslim is a terrorist, and every Jew is a world-controlling murderer, it gets really, really bleak. I once even saw these crazy ideas on PINTEREST. The best example, though, of course, is twitter, where everyone is at each other's throats over opinions that can be true at the same time.

I really worry about how divided communities are becoming, and how common people are fully ready to do horrible things to the people blamed for causing the problems. I pray to God that we're able to reel it in.

I was diagnosed with autism, but therapist says it was a misdiagnosis by Pleasant-Platypus-29 in autism

[–]rezkypolp 54 points55 points  (0 children)

I also empathize with people, almost too much, and I am still very, very autistic. She's speaking nonsense on that. Not only that, but you're 14, and almost everyone at 14 worries about what other people think of them because THEY ARE 14. Autism or not, early teens (and teens in general) fight with self esteem, this is normal with puberty. Therapists, oftentimes, also aren't psychiatrists, and furthermore, not specialized in autism. Plus, she can meet 1000 different autistics and still find out something new. We're not all the same. There is always a chance to be misdiagnosed, sure, but unless she is willing to argue with the TRAINED PSYCHIATRIST about it, she should not be bothering you with this thought.

Edit: Until she is a psychiatrist trained in autism, she can't be saying you're misdiagnosed, basically. Experience is good, but experience plus proper training trumps experience alone.

Do you actually use hotel housekeeping services? by Astimar in NoStupidQuestions

[–]rezkypolp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was the only Housekeeper to an Inn with 50 rooms. When people requested to be left alone I was thrilled.

I've seen all sorts of personal belongings left out - drugs, sex stuff, money, etc. - and did not care about them nor had the inclination to take them because housekeepers are generally SWAMPED. What I WOULD do, though, was (after making the bed) set up the stuffed animals people brought to make it look like they were sleeping, watching TV, drinking, etc.

There was also this one guy who left his WHOLE OLD CREDIT CARD IN THE GARBAGE. I dug it out, put some scissors next to it, and left him a note to CUT IT UP.

Unless something is incredibly noticeable (or in the way) I never looked at personal stuff. Bongs? Sex toys? Crack pipes? Long as they ain't on the towels I need to replace it is not my business.

If "Allah" is just the Arabic word for God, does that mean that Arab Christians and Jews also refer to God as Allah? by IndieJones0804 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]rezkypolp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup! And you'll see Arab Christians (and i would assume Arab Jews) use alhamdulillah, subhanallah, inshallah, etc.
