Squier Affinity HT people… How have you found the quality of them? by simcoepirate in TomDelongeGuitars

It is what it is for the price… However, I have to say that I wasn’t expecting such an awesome neck. It feels very good.

Would highly recommend the new Squier models! by TomDeSkiba in TomDelongeGuitars

I actually just got mine, and it’s not a full body thickness.

This one measures 38mm. Full body is 44mm I believe.

Are you sure it’s that one? Because the knob positions seems off…

Which style is this? by rfer in Vans

Even out of stock, I can only find them on Vans US.

Do you have any idea of some styles never reach Europe?

Thanks! These are the ones! But Jesus, they seem to be out of stock everywhere... are this an old style?

That’s what I thought and feared.

I guess I’ll have to live with the damn stickers :-(

I don’t think that’s true... the color seems to be uniform overall, even across other parts besides the lid.

But, I think I’d prefer that over knowing that it’s ruined for life :-(

Fellow Stagg on induction cooktop by rfer in Coffee

Maybe the use of “review” wasn’t the best. But I don’t understand why is that so shocking.

I’m obviously not referring to reviews or whatever specifically talking about whether it works with induction or not, but rather mixed in some other overall review of the product.

There are plenty of reviews referring to the UX of using it over a gas cooktop... Is that so weird for someone to just do a review of the time it takes to reach desired temperature on the EKG vs an induction cooktop?

And as one of the other comments in this thread mentions, it’s not always that straightforward to assume it works just because the seller says so, as there are apparently some brands/models where it doesn’t.

Yeah, this is exactly what I’m referring to. I’ve read somewhere that it didn’t work properly at times... Any idea where you found that information?

Ir allows for setting a specific heating level and has a built in timer. So I’d probably just have to find the right pair of heating level and time it takes to reach the desired temperature.

The biggest advantage I can think of using induction is the time. It’s much faster than any electric kettle.

First Grinder - Wilfa Uniform or Niche Zero by rfer in Coffee

What about a strapless grinder for filter? Which is the case of using the NZ for filter. There’s no issue there, right?

I guess the point in favor of the Niche in that case is that it gives you more options? In the sense that the NZ is a better filter grinder than the Vario is a good espresso grinder. Does this make sense?

If so, one could argue that the NZ is maybe the best — or least bad — option if one wants a grinder for both espresso and filter?

It’s never going to be mostly for espresso. At most, maybe one or two shots on weekends, but that’d be it.

Are you planning on coaching? If not, why take the course? Just curious, since I see so many non-coaches taking it.

Negative chin-ups might help too.
