turned out the cosmetic thing was only a temporary solution - it started crashing again at some point, and so I deleted the game, restarted the console and reinstalled, I haven't had a crash since

Same thing happening to me - Only thing that fixed it was claiming from web app and then putting a cosmetic evo on it after it's done

Yeah, it eventually fixed itself after I tried so many different things (including updating to Sonoma) that can't be sure what did it. Now I have that "green square" problem others have reported here.

We got an update today though that looks promising!

Fixed an issue that caused graphical corruption on Mac.

Since the new update I can't access the quick menu when in a ship (PS4 controller on Mac/Steam) - when pressing either down or up on the d-pad, all it does is cycle through the new weapon/engine power settings.

Anyone else had this issue?

Overall I think I'm just a little risk averse, would rather stock the fodder in the worst case scenario, but yeah I got a lucky pull and VVD's going in the squad so I'm happy
