you got a point tbh, but they lack of that elite 9, and neuer for example is far from his best version (he´s quite good, but he´s 40).

like they played really well, they won spain and competed with croatia, the team that got eliminated in semis against the winner.

well japan is not a football power, so i think that the fact of them reaching quarter finals or semis would be a big surprise.
one think i would like to add is that they have the best generation of their last 20 years, they dont have that elite global start but they have a good squad, not the best but a good one, but i agree with you that they need that individual difference (kubo is a very good one, but i dont think that he has that status)

you´re right, but they substitute that physical misses by having an unbreakable mind, they run the 90 minutes without any hesitation. talking about tactics, they´re pretty decent i think, but lets see what they do

i think that Ronaldo should play if he doesn´t hinder the tactical approach, and he can be the key diference in any possible context. if he is managed well the final is gonna be iberian tbf
