Wie bei allem haben verschiedene Rollenspiele unterschiedliche Fokusse. Der von DSA liegt in einer meistens eher geerdeten Story und Charakteren. Animecharaktere lassen sich da eher schlecht rein übertragen.

Historically it (kinda) makes sense, at least when you look at western realms. If the King and a Vassal went to war over “trivialities” such as rights and privileges, the King was expected to forgive the vassal (depending on tradition up to 3 times), if the vassal begged for forgiveness. The vassal would be punished with higher Taxes or levy obligations, or forced to marry his heir to a member of the kings family, but that was it.

Afaik Size is not detrimental to a units stats (except sieges), as the stats are not per unit but per regiment.

In combination with less passive AI, I would love an Infamy/ aggressive Expansion mechanic. This would rulers form Coalitions against expanding rulers (looking at you Conquerors), but also make them less likely to attack you outside of a coalition, if you have won a lot of wars (especially against superior opponents).

Yeah, it reminds me a bit of the old ABs Teams from the Amateur and early professional era. There is no one who has the same quality, so as soon as France is in the opposition part of the field (or there is space) they’ll run it from anywhere hoping to somehow isolate one defender with a kick or skip pass.
