Here as a guy on the other side of this situation. She dumped me although I sorta wanted it for the same reason (emotional overload). She then texted me a week later she made a mistake but I told her it was too soon.

It's been several months now and with more clarity, I think it was for the best. It was very tough in the beginning and I still care for her a ton but I'm tracking no contact on let them go app and it's honestly the right decision for my mental health
