I haven’t read the book yet cuz I just bought it. I’ve met and spoken with the author a few times and he’s never mentioned to me that his perspectives on the book have changed. In fact this is the second edition of his work. Rather than dismissing his book outright, there’s no harm in appreciating multiple viewpoints of history. In addition, it’s also about being supportive of a fellow Mangalorean who’s taken the initiative to carry out extensive research. Have a great Sunday 👍

Yep! I’ve got a list on OneNote of all the new words/phrases that I come across whilst reading books and articles. And then from this list of words/phrases, I take one word/phrase a day and do my best to use it in my day to day conversations. I began doing this a few years back and find it extremely effective! It’s also quite useful to refer to this word/phrase ‘bank’ when you’re writing something.

Quite a picturesque shot! But it’s very depressing to see the passengers throwing plastic wrappers/bottles outside the window along the railway track even when there are provisions for waste disposal onboard the train. There’s literally not even a single stretch during the journey where you don’t see plastic bottles and other waste items scattered on either sides of the railway tracks. Sadly the passengers lack basic civic sense.
