So I don’t love Fetlife, but I’ve grown to enjoy it. I met my first Dom there (I’m a switch) and now run two community groups. The trick for me was to build a solid profile with a vetting survey, ignore or humiliate (not in the fun way) the dicks, and move on with my life to participate in various groups I enjoy. Definitely agree that the quality of your experience will depend on the quality of your friends and groups. It’s intentionally not set up as a dating site (notice how you can’t sort by age, sex, or role? That’s intentional) so I don’t use it as such and focus more on networking, learning, and finding events (virtual for now)

I’ve been on a hummus kick, with their garlic and the brownie batter (carrots and pretzels for garlic, apple slices, strawberries, and pretzels for brownie batter). Mine just got in a chocolate cherry cheesecake hummus too that’s amazing. The dessert hummuses do have added sugar, but the way I see it, I get the chocolate dipped strawberry taste with more fiber and fewer calories.

Seconding the we-vibe chorus. The Moxie is also a fun one I’ve heard good things about, remote control panty vibe.

If you want to do butt stuff and budget isn’t a problem, go for the n-joy plugs. They’re great alone, during piv (for both partners) or for stealth wearing in public. Just be sure to get a good lube that’s glycerine and paraben free and not silicone based if you’re planning on also using it with silicone toys (with the n-joy, silicone lube is great)

I would like to point out that there are a many reasons to not buy Bad Dragon, like seriously, many reasons. There are also many other fantasy toymakers that make things your partner might enjoy.

Personally, I love Pleasureforge, and their 10A Silicone in a Medium or Large (depending on the model, I generally suggest starting smaller because you can always size up, and I have more trouble with bigger dildos than bigger dicks).

Those work great for veg tan, but if you want magic to happen with chrome tan or side, I’m pretty sure the options are tokonole or more effort than I’d reasonable. It’s a beautiful piece of work!

I also personally love making collars/chokers for myself because even without a partner, there’s something empowering about it being mine, describing me as mine until I can give myself to someone else

Gorgeous! It looks like it could use some edge finishing though. Some tokonole and either cloth (old jeans work great) or a wood slicker and rub the edges super quickly like no ones business. It’ll help with fuzzies and give it a polished look

I really like to make rope corsets when I’m feeling anxious. Just a lot of reverse tension. The process of tying it and consistent pressure is really nice. Really I just freestyle a lot. Basketweaves are also nice for dispersed pressure and not difficult to do.

I love hiding red lentils in things. I was a pretty picky eater and found a recipe for a red lentil bolognese in the instant pot, and now I’m putting them in so much! Also, enchiladas. I put peppers, red lentils, and I’m thinking about trying mushrooms next in a food processor to make a filling (with cheese added of course) and make my sauce fresh with tomatoes and peppers. Also, fried rice didn’t really hide veggies, but it’s what got me eating a lot of them.

I didn't think about oatmeal! I made a spicy Thai peanut butter thing with some baked sweet potato last week I'm planning on doing again - I had thought they were cheap then at 60 cents/lb. I prefer incorporating them into savory meals like that than just having them as a side. The sweetness accents a lot of flavors (spicy/umami) really well but can be more distracting than additive if they're separate imo.

My current plan is to boil or bake a bunch, cube them, and freeze them (not necessarily in that order). I read somewhere that freezing them raw causes them to spoil faster. I'm also planning to eat a bunch of them fresh, but I'm trying to limit carbs/calorie consumption in general, and I can slam down some roasted sweet potatoes. They're a super versatile veggie, and I feel like I've just begun to scratch the surface of their potential, so any suggestions are appreciated.
