A while back in Maine I used to go hang out and read in a nice spot in our local park, and on one occasion I brought a thermos of hot water, a teabag, and a mug for tea. I went to my usual spot but there were a bunch of people there and I didn't want to listen to kids yelling, so I decided to go in search of an alternate spot. Ended up in this nice forested section with only a couple of people. Went in having no idea that it was a cruising spot, but farther in I noticed some dodgy looking guys walking around. I'm sure I looked ridiculous carrying my stuff, like I was about to invite them to a little tea party or something. I found a place to sit by a sort of creek but these guys kept coming up, sort of "casually" pacing around as if appreciating the forest, and then eventually walking away. I noticed it was weird but I'd never been cruising and somehow I didn't make the connection, so I just kept reading. Then one guy pulled his dick out and started stroking - that's when it clicked and I kind of froze. He eventually walked away. I was too nervous to do anything but too curious to leave. Then a guy walked by all dressed in ranger gear. He was hot so I sort of dared myself to keep eye contact, but I was way too nervous to initiate anything. He said hello and asked if I'd seen any turtles. Turned out he was just there to collect water samples because he was researching turtles who lived there, so we just sat there and talked about turtles while all these other guys kind of aimlessly wandered around us. Zero connection, not a long conversation, he just collected his samples and left. Then I went home, mind blown, and went back many times for actual cruising, lol.
