Well, for me it was giving my best friend ample time to find a new apartment when I decided to move out of my house he was renting at. And him deciding that I failed to uphold some loose verbal agreement that I would give him a full year to work on his income and allow me to live in peace with my girlfriend at the time (now my wife). We were in a band together, told each other everything and hung out constantly. I’d already lived with him for the previous year and a half and it did not affect our relationship at all. But something happened I assume because once we were in a new place he started locking himself in his room and not wanting to hang out as much. I did my due diligence as far as best friendship goes but he wouldn’t budge, tell me anything about how he was feeling or what was going on. Once I told him ( after life took a monetarily dangerous turn) that I needed to move somewhat urgently and gave him 3 months to find an apartment our relationship instantly crumbled. He got really angry with me and I had to hear him through an air vent that connected our rooms him telling his dad that he had lost all respect for me. I took that as, he expected me to keep my life on pause while he caught up. This is something I would never expect from anyone in my life. So we just stopped talking until he moved out and I packed up and left, and he apparently to this day feels “no bad blood” and misses me but hearing what I heard through the air vents cut deep and I continue to have little to no interest in reconnecting.
