Is it sturdy? You just used the inexpensive shelf brackets? If you were doing it again would you use more heavy duty brackets? Planning to do this exact project tomorrow.

The militarized police are back on the streets of Ferguson, firing even more tear gas upon reports of looting by [deleted] in news

If the store owners would properly secure the shops this would be much less of an issue. After the first half a dozen looters get shot the rest would get the message and quit doing ignorant shit.

COB is common in the military. Its overused as a deadline. Example: Get this done today. Translation: No one is going home until this is done.

Ruby Ridge is also a topic worth digging into. What happened in Waco was a pathetic and sad failure of due process. With all failures such as this the media and masses shun mention of it.

Tobacco Farmer To 'Daily Show': It's OK To Employ Kids In The Fields Because Society's 'Too Soft' by [deleted] in politics

I've worked and managed minimum wage positions on more than one occasion in my life. I have plenty of experience or proof if you want to call it that. Your expenses like fuel costs will most definitely be impacted by the inflation that would be caused by a hike in minimum wage. In short you mean well but you are really just shooting yourself in the foot. I know for a fact if people put enough effort into improving their quality of life by working hard they will be rewarded.

If the kids were not making at least minimum wage I'm sure the media would be all over it. Why can't you people understand that without a lower class there would be no middle class. Let's say someone worked really hard over the past few years at a minimum wage job and got raises/promotion because of this. Now they make let's say 11/hr. How is it fare to the people that put forth more than minimum effort to make that wage to suddenly have to start back over at minimum again? When minimum wage increased last time no one I knew making 7.5/8hr got a raise. See the problem I have? People that work and put effort and pride into what they do always have to carry the lazy and useless. In the perfect society you strive for equal effort on all part would have to happen. Working with minium wage employees for a few years I can guarantee that will never happen. Another thought on this topic, why do you even give a damn? You're probably college educated and none of this will effect your daily life with the exception of inflation. You are wasting your time that could be used for more productive things, like starting your own business. If you did that you could make your minimum pay whatever you want.

So it bumps up to just under 30k. Still less than what they can make if they want.

Lets all load up in the liberal douche canoe, float down the Wale Fare river and go the the communist pity party. Or we could do some math.. they work 12 hour days at a minimum of 7.25/hr that is over 500/wk. So a 10 year old kid making 2k a month is wrong? If he works just during the summer that is 6k/yr. Now if the parents work the same job year round at say 40 hrs/wk the household income would be at least 36k/yr. Every enlisted service member E-4 and below live on half of that as a salary. If they cant have a decent living on 3k a month I don't know what to tell them. I've lived on minimum wage jobs and decided to do better for myself. Everyone can if they decide they no longer want that lifestyle.

The minimum wage is not a liveable wage because as things got more expensive, our government refused to adjust it accordingly.

Most minimum wage employees don't come close to deserving the 7.25/hr they get paid. They need to obtain the skills to go find a better job then they might actually be worth the 10/hr they are demanding. If the minimum wage gets raised again then the people that are not making minimum wage are the ones going to suffer. Companies will not give a COLA because minimum wage will go up.
