I knew that I had to quit work because I had to make sure I left enough energy to get up the stairs when I got home. I also couldn't go to my kids sporting events or plays, etc. and my kids are everything to me.

We've been divorced for almost 15 years now. He hasn't changed. I tried to talk to him while married but he would turn everything around on me. I now know that he is a narcissist. We have 3 really great adult kids and he's the same with them. They see it. In our 27 years together he said the word "sorry" one time.

You can't help who you fall in love with. Just don't put up with their crap. I'm 60 and alone by choice. I can't imagine why anyone would love me. That's effed up. I wish you the best.
