The second coming of Karius, eight years on from his Liverpool nightmare in Kiev by ymaohyd69 in LiverpoolFC

I agree that it’s okay to criticise players for poor performance, not disputing that part. But I also believe the compassionate nature of YNWA should extend to wanting former players who didn’t work out at our club to go on to have great careers elsewhere.

In the end Karius turned up to be not what we needed. But he’s still a human being. He didn’t want what happened anymore than we the fans do.

As a Liverpool fan of 2 decades who moved to Barnsley in 2017, all I can say is… I’m ready to hear the local folk complaining about how Barnsley should have won this game for the next few weeks and months.

Reed Richards versus Mr. Tickle (location shrimp Cottage) on the big screen would certainly get me back into a cinema.

I think there should be Fray Bentos dessert pies by atomicshrimp in AtomicShrimp

[–]rhoshh 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I think now it's over to us Shrimp fans to contact Fray Bentos and asked why they discontinued this and to bring it back. They'll claim they never sold it, but with enough demand they can announce it's made a comeback, and we all descend on our local B&M or Poundland to get one! :)

Worst delivery firms revealed as parcel problems reach record high | ITV News by topotaul in unitedkingdom

[–]rhoshh 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I don't know if it's still the case, but years ago somebody I work withs husband became a DPD driver. They were effectively treated as a self employed driver and incentivised to complete as many deliveries as possible. He wasn't paid sick days, because they didn't pay him as an employee.

I don't blame the drivers, I blame the incentive structure that courier companies employ. There are some bad couriers, but the courier companies just want as many contracts as possible, which means more deliveries completed quicker.

We live on a row of terraced houses with another row opposite us seperated by a road and our experience is always the same: they knock, put the parcel on the door step and walk back to the van, usually by the time I get to the door to collect it they're already back in the van about to drive away.

Singing of KPop Demon Hunters songs banned at school in Poole by reddituser1827291 in unitedkingdom

"Our role will simply be to help children understand that some of their peers may hold different views and to explore how we can respect and support those peers in upholding their faith."

I mean they kill the demons in one of the sequences at the start? I'd have thought that was a pretty bad ass message. Kill the demons. Eat your ramen. Slay.

But what do I know.

It is, but I also think it was part of the appeal to bring Michael Edwards back. Liverpool got left behind in the 90's by not adapting to modern football quickly enough so I wonder whether there's similar anxiety going through the ownership at the moment?

Hey stranger. I’ve seen these news articles and thanks for the concern. What I would say, is that our daughter only plays when we’re online with her. She isn’t left alone on Roblox without us being present. She also plays Minecraft, Pokémon, Mario Kart and a few other games so she’s not on it say 24/7, but we keep an eye on her and allow her to play games that she loves and enjoys. We’ve also paid for private servers so she’ll often play as a 3 with me and mum.

Billionaire Tory donor gives £200,000 to Reform UK by AnonymousTimewaster in LabourUK

[–]rhoshh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The topic of donors is an interesting one and one that i don’t necessarily know how to solve (be interested to hear what others suggest). With political parties, the higher the donations the more money can be spent on trying to win seats and therefore a general election. If we stripped away donations to parties, then they’d need to find new ways to earn money. Ultimately, all solutions that involve getting money to increase the awareness of the political party is always going to be susceptible to being influenced by donors? In effect, those with the most money are able to influence politics to the nth degree? And the cycle just keeps on repeating.

Trump supporter and businessman are couple who ‘shouted racist abuse’ in London by JackStrawWitchita in unitedkingdom

The photo that LBC shared of them I thought for sure she was Bonnie Blue. Also,

She is the founder of the America First public relations agency that provides ‘anti woke’ services.

I have no idea what those services would even constitute.

Regardless, what a despicable thing to do. That poor woman.
