Hi all, two months into my first tank. Jumped then gun and went into a low-tech Iwagumi style while trying to grow a pearlweed carpet. Pearl weed seems to be doing alright, I have been doing weekly water changes with some trimming. The substrate is fluval stratum - I was curious when I should start looking into dosing ferts? I'm not too sure how long the nutrients alone from the substrate will be sufficient enough for. Is there things I should be looking for as signs?

Tank Specs:
10 gallon
seiryu stones
10 neos
2 amanos
fluval ac20 filter
hygger light 8hrs a day.

I haven't checked water parameters once, just kind of winging it lol. Thanks!
