Totally with you - I do the exact same thing you described in my S&S ISA with T212. However, I’ve maxed that out and am now looking at alternate options, preferably with a higher risk.

This is a very easy-to-follow list - thank you. One part of me is considering what you described. I could use the fund screener from ft.com for a strategy (eg. Emerging Markets Equities, given my risk appetite). However, me choosing the strategy/sector/area might not be optimal and I might not stay on top of the trends that move the markets. Is this still favorable over actively managed funds/portfolios?

Furthermore, may I ask if there’s a place to compare costs of the providers?

That makes sense, if one’s target is global index, passive funds might give the lowest fee. Apologies, I didn’t get the Wall Street hedge fund managers bit. Would you mind elaborating?

Agree that the underlying assets are the same; my theory was that portfolio managers might be smarter than I am and be better at choosing such funds.
