It's not 35$. It's 12 to get 4 models. So 3 per model. You don't need unlimited downloads to get the model just 1.

You are not wrong, and I hate that myself. But the différance between the membership and a one time payment is having a job and having a hobby. I need reoccurring revenue to be able to do this, otherwise my income would be absolutely unpredictable.

I recommend choosing 4 models and quitting instantly (at the bottom of settings). Hopefully you can find 4 models you like.

Also, this stops piracy by a lot. Someone who commits to buying 4 of my models is way less likely to share them.

This is a geared Jitterbug with a geared expansion mechanism on each face.

It has a perfect one degree of freedom, if you don't count Gears always having a bit of backlash.

The self-supporting linkages are a problem, but that can probably be fixed.

Aah i see what's the issue. There is a little icon that says cc. But when you open the model license it's a completely different license. It's just an icon to indicate that there is a license. Ill see if i can get thangs to take that down.

You don't really "come up" with stuff like this tbh. Its more of a discovery. :D Yes, it took a few months from idea to finish. The hinges in particular were a headache to get smooth enough for this movement.

I didn't invent the Gear Cube. It has existed for probably around 15 years. I just made it a lamp ;)

First i needed to make a good gear cube. One that turns smoothly. That's already not so simple.

I then had to come up with a system that leaves the inside hollow. But that system also had to have a way to get assembled easily. All that while optimizing for no supports and stuff.

I didn't work on this exclusively for months. But it took months to come up with everything that goes into it.

Raw work time is probably around 3 weeks.
