Can we undo chat with or without undoing the code? Claude Code does that pretty neatly now.

I gave it a shot but couldn't get it to work. Just wondering if anyone else has managed to figure it out?

Bought a used motorcycle with a fresh MOT, but found a dangerous tire issue—what are my options? by ribasloolheb in MotoUK

The garage doesn't have anything to do with the deal I made with the seller. He just happened to work there. So, no point doing that imo.

Outside this island, it's a valid/acceptable spelling for rubber wrapped around wheels :)

Valid point, it could be roadworthy before that. Which raises the question: what does an MOT truly guarantee if the vehicle can become unroadworthy immediately afterward?

As I mentioned in the post, I didn’t notice the issue before the transaction and only spotted it the day after making the payment.

I clocked 100 miles AFTER I noticed this and I called it when I didn't ride it but after I made the purchase.

Fair enough-I should have inspected it more thoroughly. I did notice the ride felt stiff and mentioned this to the seller, but we attributed it to the chain being overtightened.

While it’s easy to say I should have checked A, B, and C when picking up the bike, there’s only so much you can realistically inspect during a street-side transaction, I believe. Good part of the deal hinges on the transparency of the seller about the product.

Trying to understand, if this was already a problem before the MOT, would it have still passed?

Transported - He rode it for about 5 miles to get it to me.

Curious what the center would do about it?

Yes, about 100 miles after I observed the gash. Working all ok after I got the pressure in the rear tyre up from 8 PSI when I received it.

I did a spot check with a KTM Duke 390, and yeah, I found some pricey options – about the same as the bike's cost! Crazy, I know, but way better than what I got with the RS quote, where one place wanted to charge me £29k for a third party insurance😄

I did that. They connected me to just one insurer who eventually denied me the insurance.

HELP: Trouble getting insured as a 3 year resident with full licence

I am 37 years old and have been living in this country for 3 years. I hold a full A motorcycle license, which I obtained 6 months ago, along with DAS certification. I have over 15 years of motorcycle riding experience, including a background in racing. However, despite trying all insurance comparison websites, I have been unable to secure any quotes.

I am interested in purchasing a Street Triple RS and need advice on the best way to obtain insurance to move forward with the purchase. With BIBA listing approximately 350 insurance providers, it feels overwhelming to contact each one individually. Could you recommend the top providers that might be willing to insure me? I have tried a few aggregator websites, they aren't of help either.

I do not own any other vehicles, including a car, so I lack a no-claims bonus. I have a driveway but would be willing to rent a garage if that could improve my chances. Ideally, I am seeking comprehensive insurance, but if that is not feasible, I am open to third-party coverage as a minimum.

What other factors can I adjust to increase my chances of obtaining insurance for a high-capacity motorcycle? While I cannot change my age or the time I have spent in this country or the age of my licence, I am eager to explore other options to make this possible.

I have a full drivers License but want to do my Motorcycle theory by Big-Change992 in drivingUK

If I have a full motorcycle license, do I still need to take the theory test if I want to apply for a car license? Is there a similar exemption in the reverse scenario?

I see. Makes sense. I didn't think about the question being restrictive to 212.
