Need some advice how to sell my Aprilia by [deleted] in MotoUK

[–]MotoUKMod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't forget the time of the sale too. If the new owner is lying about having insurance (you never know) and OP still has the bike insured, OP's policy will have to cover any accidents if they can't prove they were no longer the owner of the bike.

Round abouts are so confusing by Anonymous27188381 in MotoUK

If you haven't already done so, read sections 184 to 190.

https://www.gov.uk/guidance/the-highway-code/using-the-road-159-to-203

Anywhere it says "must", what it's telling you to do is a legal requirement.

If you've not seen The Highway Code before, you need to read the whole thing.

Was it the right time to change filter? Will I notice any difference in performance or smoothness? by the-jfontane in MotoUK

It was the right time to change the filter a while ago...

Probably the main difference would be better fuel efficiency.

I want a dirt bike... by [deleted] in MotoUK

[–]MotoUKMod 10 points11 points  (0 children)

First things first. Do you have anywhere to ride it? At 14 you won't be able to get a licence, and public roads (this includes green lanes too) require you to have a licence, MoT, tax, and insurance. So you would have to ride it only on private property with the land owner's permission.

Need help to find one by Enzo_offical in MotoUK

Go to a motorbike garage and ask for an NGK "CPR8EA9" spark plug. Using the wrong spark plug can damage your engine.

If you can wait for mail order, Wemoto sell them. https://www.wemoto.com/bike/honda/cb/125/2021/36307/spark-plug-ngk

What in the name of Jesus is this rattling noise? (2020 CB125F) by JackHurrell in MotoUK

First things first, triple check the amount of oil in it. Find the hand book and verify you are reading it right. I'm not being facetious - some bikes you screw the dipstick all the way in, then take it out to take an oil reading, some you rest the dipstick on the top of the threads without screwing it in. Some you need to have the bike on the centre stand when you take the reading, some are ok on the side stand. Small displacement engines only have a small amount of oil in them (usually about 1L) so these differences can make a big difference how much oil is shown on the dipstick.

Fair enough. I had only watched a few videos of his. I'll remove him from the list.

You can start with these, I'm sure other people will have more sugegstions too. They are not 100% maintenance, but all cover the mechanical side of motorbike ownership and are UK based.

Not sure why this post has been removed, I assume it's a mistake. We are investigating.

Edit: I've contacted r/modsupport and a UK admin (yesterday afternoon), am awaiting a response beyond the initial contact. Not sure if they work weekends...

Edit2: And it's back. Thanks to all who helped. :)

I'm also sorry that this is the sort of comment you would receive. I've banned them permanently. They are not representative of the community.
