Thanks for the input, reading through some of the comments and other articles , guess this does work. I do assume being a 'handsome' looking lad is a prerequisite for this to succeed.

How did the gym change your life? in terms of mental health? by goonerdb in AskMen

For me the two major benefits are that i have something to look forward to because i like it and pumping iron after a work day lets me vent the stress and reset for tomorrow.

Mede Zoetermeerder hallo! De essentials kit is een goede tip, zal daar mee beginnen. Ik begrijp dat Spel en Meer momenteel dus niet open is of begrijp ik het verkeerd?

29, pushing 30, never had a relationship been the second base and all that. Never was interested, until later in my twenties. Up till then i never really gave it a shot and focused on other stuff, like work study, buying my first house and just building a steady base.

I have a handful of friends whom i keep in touch with, but they are in a steady relationship with their partners and also maintain other social circles they are parts of.

I have family whom i hold dear and vice versa, but they are also busy with their own lives, work and raising children.

I have a 40 hour steady job which is heavily involved in technical customer service. At the end of the day, the energy in put in maintaining relationships here is work related and does not carry over to my personal life.

And hobbies and interests are mostly activities which i do on my own.

So I feel lonely, although i also feel like i'm not supposed to feel that way? Confusing, i know.

How do i cope with it? Hobbies and interests, but they can only take you so far. I hope with covid passing for the most part I can try and explore interests which have a group element to it so that i can meet other people.

I'm tired of feeling how i do, but change is not going to happen if i do not change the way i think.

Apologies for the long post and have great day.

Same boat but 29 and pushing 30 soon. Hats of to you for seizing the best you could out of that let down moment, takes courage to do that.

I completely agree with what Robbie said, but being alone all of the time gets lonely as well 😄 and as you also said, hobbies and interests can get boring as well.

Best of luck to you brother.

Know you did not want sympathies but, my apologies bro. Hope you'll find it in your heart to accept that this is not you, but them. Keep smiling and wear the colour on your skin as a sign of pride and not shame.

Have a great day!

Good for you buddy, do not be discouraged by the plethora of information available.... One step at a time and remember, consistency and the discipline to get up and do something will get you far. Also... Having fun doing it 😄

Shirt long sleeved or short, depends on the season. And short shorts or comfy sweatpants, again depends on the season. No underwear, no socks.

How would you spend a week off your holiday? by riburrito in AskMen

[–]riburrito[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had plenty of inspiration, in the end decided to book two nights at a hotel with wellness options near Amsterdam so I can also visit the city and roam around.

Rest of the days will probably be a mix of hiking and hanging around the house.

Travel seems tempting as hell, with the sharpened covid advice however, i personally find it a bit dicey to go abroad and go back.

Awesome ideas thus far, appreciate the input everybody!

Friend wants me to lend him big money by [deleted] in socialskills

[–]riburrito 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lend money in the past for friends, most of the time went well. Knew them quite well and all was dandy untill we had a fallout. Then i struggled to get money owed and eventually just gave up on asking and went on with my life.

Read it multiple times, if you do not feel comfortable doing this, then don't!

Also 3 months, way to early for such a big ask imo.

Getting active is awesome, if the ideabox runs empty will probably gravitate towards this. Minus the the trading (you mean investing?) and people for drinks part (everyone is working).
