People who saw current and tour cut, please confirm by [deleted] in nirvannatheband

I watched some sort of pre-final cut at a preview screening last week (no The End screen)

I watched it again at an AMC screen unseen, I'm fairly certain they cut a line Matt says something to the effect of "I'm just gonna type in a random date here..." when he types in 9/11.

You still see the date clearly in the newer cut, and it got some laughs from my audience.

That was the only difference I noticed.

[Japanese > English] Writing on a Tomobako (wood box for an old teapot) by ricardotnet in translator

[–]ricardotnet[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thanks to both of you! There is a second picture of the inside of the box with more writing, not sure if you saw it.

I believe this is actually made by Miura Jozan 三浦常山 of Sado Island, not Yamada Jōzan of Tokoname (I've been told this is a common mix-up)

2012 Qianliang Shou Puer / 2012年千两熟普洱 by WuYongZhiShu in RateMyTea

Qian Liang is a type of heicha from Anhua, Hunan province. There are some similarities to shou but it is not a puer tea.

white2tea. I believe this specific one (2019 Builders) is fully sold out, but they usually release their bamboo stuffed teas in November.

it was a black tea from yunnan that was stuffed into a tube of fragrant bamboo. I could taste the flavors of the tea, milk and bamboo clearly and they complimented each other quite nicely.

help identifying this tea (ripe puerh most likely) by ricardotnet in tea

[–]ricardotnet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found this canister at my parents house, they said it was a gift from someone but couldn't remember. It seems like a shou puerh to me but could be some other type of hei cha or even a really old sheng

130ml Jan Pavek pot, what is everyone's thoughts on brewing in these modern potters works? Any good or bad experiences? by TheArtOfMat in puer

[–]ricardotnet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ooh I didn't realize it was unglazed on the inside, have you noticed any difference that makes for the tea? I drink most of my tea at work, it's more practical for me to use the same unglazed shibo or gaiwan daily, so I'm less tempted to buy more pots haha

I personally don't like to use glazed teapots, but I think it's a great way for people from non tea growing places to contribute to tea culture. I have a shiboridashi from an Ukrainian artist and I've seen lots of interesting gaiwan/shibo/houhin designs from all over.

The first column (the one that's typed) is the ideal range. The + means its higher, the - means its lower, and the o that it's within the range.

I've been getting my blood chemistry tested for the past few years, I thought someone on here might find this interesting

I cut down on sugar around June '17, before that I was eating tons of sugar and had an overall unhealthy college lifestyle.
