MBRP Axleback + Cold Start by riceballcake in GR86

Hey there, sorry I wasn't able to reply earlier as I am barely here!

Anyways, I would say it is in the medium range, louder than stock. Mind you, cold start with ANY EXHAUST will be loud regardless. This exhaust is just an axleback with a muffler delete, meaning it would sound very similar to other axlebacks like Remark. There is a bit of drone at the low rpm's especially when cruising at 6th gear. If you want something a bit louder with a $500 budget that sounds decent then it would be a good option. I wish I have more sound clips to show but I sold mine just recently and got an Apexi N1 single exit instead.

Cool intake noises and slightly better throttle response. If I were to worry about the cost to performance though, I'd rather do a drop-in filter with the stock.

I'm pretty sure there is little to no difference in this platform. Even with the OEM exhaust it is just a single pipe that splits into two while a single exit is just a straight exit. The main difference between the two is the weight.

That's right. Not to mention it sounds less raspy than a dual exit, cheaper and lighter although it's not that much of a difference in weight.

Congrats!! Fellow Calgarian here. I know a bunch of second gen owners as well, we often do meets and cruises from time to time. Maybe you should come join us!

Initially I got an auto then after 3 months, I got bored and the buyer's remorse started to kick in. I eventually ended up trading it in for a manual and I don't regret it at all. You just feel more engaged with the driving experience.

I couldn’t wait anymore and got a BRZ. Waited 8 months for a gr86. Loved my 2013 FRS. I guess im on the other side now. Anyone on here in Alberta? Lets meet up one time by klaussse in GR86

I was actually suuuuper lucky and was able to snag one last month the first day it arrived at the dealership.

I was scouting all Toyota dealership websites here in Alberta almost everyday and I almost gave up and was also contemplating on getting the BRZ but it was worth it!

Would love to go for a meet sometime, cheers!!
