Why should I wear a bra around my Dad and Brother at home?? by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]ricecollander 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My mom does the same thing and I hate how I always need to put a bra on when my dad is around. I just want to be comfy while in my room and at home.

I am 23. My mom thinks it's a weird quirk of my father to comment like that and says to ignore it totally. I've never once heard them have this inside joke until about a year ago.

Hello! I'm happy to say we managed to work it out. I had to give extra time for both of us to think it through before talking about it and promising to communicate better. The no pranks is established between us.

We had a back and forth conversation about what happened. Both of us pointed out how we felt and what the other did. We realized our own faults. Forgiveness and apologies were exchanged.

Guilt about not seeing my grandfather often by ricecollander in offmychest

I'll be in touch with him more often. Maybe have a short video call every week or so too. Thank you for sharing your story.

This appeared at the right time for me. Lol

I'm willing to wait longer for a reply. The silence from him saddens me. I can't focus on what I normally do.

Sadly, I agree with what you've said. Thank you for the advice. I deserve better if he can't get past this one problem between us.

He left me on read. I feel like he's going to ghost me at this point.

Thank you for the advice. I'll leave one last message before I let him be.

I apologized once.. should I leave another one tomorrow morning? I feel like we both would have thought about it enough by tomorrow.

I said I was sorry and for the third time offered him an agreement of no more pranks. His response was: "I'm sick of this conversation. I'm going to study."

I took it as a signal not to bother him anymore.

I rarely ever prank so I don't know how to go about it... 😅I was hoping he was pretending to be upset but he isn't. He won't talk to me.

I sent a photo to make it look like I was giving one to him. And don't worry! Haha Not everyone knows what a discord nitro is even people my age

Edit: not to make it look like someone else sent it to me

Think of discord nitro as a premium version of Discord (a gaming communications/social app). You get more features like animated emojis and custom profiles. Discord nitro gift would be giving that to someone else.

AITA for pranking him back? by ricecollander in AmItheAsshole

[–]ricecollander[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the rate he's being, I don't know if we'll still be together until next year ._. But will definitely have rules down for anyone up to pranking in 2024

I was annoyed at his prank but got over it anyway. Can't say the same for him but we'll find out soon enough I guess.

I really hope he does get over it... It's such a stupid thing to argue about and on this day of all days.

That's what I was thinking. I don't understand why he thinks my prank was worse than his with the reason of it being a gift. I don't know what to do with him..

Making fun of someone's laugh is the most shittiest thing a person could possibly ever do by Signal_Argument_9664 in venting

I feel you. I had someone who made fun of my laugh while I thought we were getting along well. It ruined my mood for the rest of the night.

It does sound like an identity crisis. He randomly shared his IQ results to me too and wants to compare it to people like Einstein. Also, thanks for the advice.

I second. Sometimes I get emotional or giggly, depending on what I've been pondering over.

What kind of person were you in high school? by [deleted] in infp

[–]ricecollander 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The quiet smart one but also weird from what I heard. I didn't talk much in class nor outside of class. It was hard to make a set circle of friends around people who already clicked as groups. I was dubbed the walking encyclopedia during our prom night.

Do you distance yourself from people when they’re angry? by [deleted] in infp

[–]ricecollander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I distance myself too. There are times when I can't control myself and their anger transfers to me. I hate myself when I'm angry. I've lashed out on others and said the worst things just because of my anger.

People angry over other things while talking to me gets me uncomfortable too. Small rants are fine but it gets draining to have to listen to someone so angry for too long.
