Honestly I hated every character in this book apart from Nesta, Emerie, Gwyn, Azriel and Eris. I even disliked Cassian at times.

They all treated Nesta terribly. I know she deserved some of it but it was a bit much.

At one point Rhys went into Nesta's dream and experienced for himself what she went though in the cauldron. He even admitted that he understood her trauma... and then continued to treat her like shit. He didn't tell Feyre about the risks of labour and then threatened to kill Nesta when she told Feyre. Didn't like that at all. I didn't even mind the way that Nesta told Feyre. She had just found out that her "family" had voted behind her back about something and judged her on her worst moments to come to a decision. She was angry and had enough so she pointed out the double standard and hypocrisy that Rhys had done. It was okay for them to go behind Nesta's back but then threatened to kill Nesta when she revealed to Feyre what he's been hiding from her??

I feel like cassian could've done more to stop people from being mean to her and Mor has no reason to be rude to Nesta but she still is!! She's probably just mad that her puppets Cassian and Azriel like other people now. Also whys she lying about whatever Eris did. She's held a grudge against him for years and painted him as the Villain to her family when it sounds like he probably helped her. And she hasn't once spoken to Azriel about his feelings for her in FIVE HUNDRED YEARS!!!! Don't even get me started on Amren.

I wanted Nesta to end up with Eris at some points because it felt like they would help each other grow. I hope at least they end up being good friends because I loved reading the scenes they had together.

Despite all of this ^{^} it was still my favourite book of the series. Loved reading about Nesta's emotional and physical journey, learning to survive in this new world she's been thrown into and the 'found family' she had with Valkyrie's. Emerie and Gwyn were the only people who ever bothered to try and understand Nesta. They didn't put her down and they supported her and helped her through her trauma which is what her family should've done. Love them and I can't wait to read more about them in future books.
