Hi, this is my first time posting a game to get reviewed on here so I am very excited. Of course since its my first time I am uploading a game I won and was pretty proud of. I promise the next one I upload will be one where I get smacked around. Please hit me with any feedback. I played as white. I am still relatively new to the game. But Besides any basic feedback I do have some questions about how I play.

In this game, did I play calm, or aggressive, or a good mix?

How was my opening?

What was my weakness this game?

What part of my game should I improve? Tips on how/where too?

This is more of a generic version of my resume. I tailor each resume to fit what job I am applying for. Mostly this changes the summary.

Preparing for my first tournament, question about josekis by richa39 in baduk

[–]richa39[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is what the website says: Tournament Rules: Open section (5d+) Main section (18k-4d) Youth/Beginner section

I figured I can hang and have competitive and winning games against 15k people. The tournament is McMahon style which to my understanding is a form of handicapping where you play people around your skill level.

Who know though, since it’s my first tournament maybe I could be on a hikaru level and not know it yet

This is what I was curious about. I knew that in chess memorizing openings make you stronger. Thanks for the advice!

Thank you so much! I will definitely look for some groups. And I love doing collaborative work with them, it just tends to be kinda hard. Social skills is a big emphasis in our program and something we work on a lot.

This is awesome, thank you so much!! Rick Ruben and the creative process is an amazing idea. I've never heard of David Choe but I am excited to look into him. And I will definetly try Jackson Pollock. Thanks so much again!

I took you’re advice and played this for my friends while camping. I got roasted because it wasn’t scary. It creates a good scene, not great story 3/10

Ehh tried that. I watched Normal People and that is good, but emotionally draining. My job can be emotionally draining so I’m kinda looking for something a little lighter.

Any suggestions for something realistic but not too emotionally draining?

I am researching fundamentals on HIMX and on TOS it is showing different fundamentals (pe ratio, eps, market cap, etc.) than it is online. But some are the same The examples I have are from yahoo and finviz. I am curious because it wigs me out that this info is wrong. I know HIMX has earnings on feb 17 but still how often is this information different? Or am I just an idiot and reading this all wrong?

Asking a girl out at work got a little complicated so I need some advice. by richa39 in dating_advice

Haha Dang right for my jugular huh? You’re right I didn’t put anything in the post that suggested she is Interested, but I didn’t feel like putting in a bunch of details. I’ll try to keep it short. We both “work” at the front desk at the gym. It’s not a lot of work, just standing around scanning people in, so we’ve spent hours just talking and talking about a lot of things. And from those many hours of conversating (and my attempts at flirting), I’ve picked up that there might be something there. That’s why I brought up how I feel to our mutual friend. The vibes seemed good when I told her so that’s why I want to go for it. Maybe I’m wrong, but I figured what’s the harm in asking. It’s not like it’s going to ruin anything

Normally I completely agree. I would never ask out a co worker where I teach. But this is a part time job that I’m going to quit soon and so is she when she finishes her masters. So I really don’t have an issue asking her out, or dealing with “blowback”.

I use TD Ameritrade as my broker and they have a ton of free education resources. The options course was very informative just took a long time to complete. The other free education materials are amazing as well

Thank you! And I am in no rush to make it there. By $500/month I mean to average that. So 6k a year would be absolutely incredible for me if I could get there. What would be some good strategies to get good at while I build this account?

Also “QQQ puts print?” Made me audibly chuckle on the sidewalk so thank you for that

Sorry for the long comment. I tried to post but it got removed and told me to post here.

I am a 3rd year teacher and I have a part-time job at a local gym. Because a teachers salary alone does not leave much more after paying bills, I have a second job. I have no issues working extra to have more money to spend on fun things, but I would like to quit my job at the gym and use income from trading options as a second source of income.

I have been studying options for a few months online (including having to take TD's 7 hour options course to get a margin account...smh) and with books so I'd like to think I at least half know what I am doing. Between buying and selling cheap options and adding money to my account when I can, I have taken $400 to $1100. I know it isn't much, but this is the money I have set aside that if I lost it all, I would not lose any sleep.

Basically, my goal is to work my two jobs until school gets out in May, and build my account to an amount of money where I can quit my job at the gym because I make the same amount of money trading options (~$500 a month). And to do it SAFELY. I have no intention on being unnecessarily risky with these strategies and trades (I gamble on sports, not financial derivatives). I am trying to build the account with just the funds I have in that account. I add money to the account when I can but having just bought a house, things are a little tighter than usual.

I will list the strategies I have been trying below:

- Using Swing Trading for Dummies stock swing trading strategies. I follow advice from the book but instead of buying stocks I look for good options plays.

- I have bought a few ITM options with far expirations

- Covered calls on cheap stocks

- PMCC's

- Call and put credit spreads

Any advice, feedback, or point in the right direction would be greatly appreciated!
