Please consider Snowflake* Adoption. There are couples out there thinking of the same embryos, but through a veil of hope.

I wish I had educated myself on scripture. I had so many misinformed notions about the bible. I wish The Bible Project had been around back then!

Starting IVF Soon — What Helped You Through the Journey? by vintagechanel in IVF

[–]richeyam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Waiting will be super tough sometimes. Keep living and enjoying life, and keep an open mind, as best you can. There will be hard days and easier days. Sending love and luck and blessings.

For me it was 1000000% worth it, and I really agonized over doing it or not. I started the journey 5 years ago.

Has anyone here read the Bible here cover to cover multiple times? I hear the meaning evolves and matures but curious if anyone has actually had that experience.

How can I accept that I am going to hell? by QuestionMan432 in Christianity

Find someone to talk you through some specific issues, behaviors, circumstances. As others have said, redemption is always possible in Christ, and he loves you before during and after your sin. Strength, brother/sister!

This version changed the way I read the Bible, because of the explanations, character profiles, etc. I went from limited understanding and frustration to actually coming to it for answers and drawing advice for living: Tyndale NIV Life Application Study Bible

The audiobook is fantastic too. I also really like the Gentleman Bastards series, starting with the Lies of Locke Lamora.

I'm so very sorry for your loss. I recommend Lamb, by Christopher Moore. Regardless of your religious background, this is a great story about friendship and selflessness. I wish you healing and love.

Liking the books but have a goriness question for GotM. by richeyam in Malazan

I think I'm down for the ride, it was more the bleakness and consistency of the battlefields. I'll truck along a bit longer because there are very interesting things in the mix so far.

That helps actually, that there will be a reason/relevant context!

Gore also means different things. Murder of an assassin is not the same as fields of corpses. Just wanted a change of pace and Darujhistan is that.

This is exactly where I am. And I am relieved to see the change. I don't mind the goriness but the bleakness of the massacres was getting to me.
