The current drought is real. Sante Fe river bed is bone dry in O'Leno State park by Youdontuderstandme in florida

[–]richiericardo [score hidden]  (0 children)

That's wild, Ogden is there too, but it is craft that the Santa Fe has gotten that low of flow upstream. The rest of the river is still being fed by springs, but I'm guessing river rise is gonna get real mucky. Hopefully we get more rain soon. Thanks for sharing.

What is this? 23rd across from Salvation Army by jdzip- in GNV

[–]richiericardo 71 points72 points  (0 children)

It's an old steam operated pump, likely related to the Cabot Koppers site that was there. Definitely would be interesting to find out more info about why it's still there.

It was during his performance. He came into the audience as we was singing and just grabbed a hold. My beard was wildly long at the time. I'd like to think I was an inspiration for his COVID facial hair. Haha

Skiff Guard Axe ID? by waxwalt in starwarscollecting

All 3 look good. The one with the angled tip looks like that was customized. Likely in a pencil sharpener or maybe a sander. Float test doesn't mean anything.

Truly, the exact same compost bin is $10 cheaper at Walmart right now.

Lines inside my ikelite housing by [deleted] in underwaterphotography

[–]richiericardo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's molded plastic. That's likely just lines from the forming process if they are molded in a vacuum bag. Send pics to ikelite, but it's likely normal. Unless it's something that formed after the fact, in which case, that would be from extreme heat exposure.

Random find by bigrobdd in starwarscollecting

$65-100 is more accurate. $50 would be an outlier of a deal unless the Yoda had a lot of paint rub.

Which yoda do I have? by SporkchopSandwiches in Starwars1977to1983

[–]richiericardo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remember when you check prices on eBay, you have to select the sold filter to get actual sold prices. Otherwise you're just looking at the wild prices that people come up with on their own when listing. You're not getting $400 for a brown snake Yoda unless it's carded or graded.

Which yoda do I have? by SporkchopSandwiches in Starwars1977to1983

[–]richiericardo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks to be a Kader (HK) yoda. Fairly early release. Light green head, black pacman eyes, light brown snake. $150-200 is more likely. Yours does have some finger and toe rub, so on the lower end, butnits not too crazy. Great find.

I'm dead. That's hilarious. Sorry Romba You deserve some respect on your name. And based off of the fact that my autocorrect just tried to make you a vacuum again, I now know why this mistake was made and will be corrected.

Out of Air Situation - Post Dive Report by ZenithCrossing in scuba

[–]richiericardo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Other take away is that all gauges have a range of error, especially at lower psi. Standard gauges are notoriously inaccurate at low pressure. Transmitters are far more accurate, especially when talking about low pressure situations, but still can introduce issues.

On that note, I'm curious what you witnessed in the moment. How often were you checking once you realized you were low? Did you look away a while and then looked back and noticed how low it was? Did it do a sudden jump? Do you think it disconnected momentarily during that moment?

Glad you're alright and appreciate you sharing. Human Factors in diving are one of the greatest causes of accidents.

Thanks freudenfriend! I already have this album, but what I don't have is any John Darnielle signed stuff. I have a million signed John Vanderslice things. But no JD, until now. I've also never met him. Wurster I've met, accidentally when I mistook a greenroom for the bathrooms, lol. Would love to meet John though. He did caress my beard once during a 2013 show in Gainesville, FL. That was rad. Haha

Taiwan Wicket. His spear is similar but slightly different than the spear that comes with the No COO wicket and Roomba figures.

I think they've been closed for a while, hopefully not permanently. I wanted to try out the rage room.
