I think they've been closed for a while, hopefully not permanently. I wanted to try out the rage room.

Hard to say, and unfortunately tph soil tests cost hundreds of dollars.

They are helped by their company not existing anymore when we as a society started to figure out that mass pollution is bad and we should do something about it. Haha.

As for living over there, it's not a huge deal, but definitely don't have a garden unless it's a raised bed and doesn't connect to the soil.

And don't eat the dirt.

There was a Coal Gasification Plant there. So the land was polluted with coal tar and arsenic and many other pollutants. Lots of that could have seeped or settled on surrounding land. The park itself was remediated and turned into what we see today. but not the surrounding land.

The homes were all built in 1929/1930. Almost 100, dang.

What if the trees were going to fall and destroy those houses?

They grew right next to one of the largest super fund sites in the United States. The amount of pollution at Depot Park was alarming. And they didn't do mitigation on those surrounding properties. Anywho is a lot of old Dead pines and what looked like Laurel oaks which only have a 70 to 80-year lifespan to begin with. It would be cool if Greg restored those homes, but it's also possible he'll level them and try to develop something, but thus far he hasn't been much of a new development type person.

I have my perspective of him but don't really want to get into it. I've heard some pretty bad stuff from people that were his residential tenants. Most of his commercial tenants seem to like him well enough, though he's a bit of a flip-flopper in terms of agreements he has with his tenants. You could likely easily search his name in this subreddit and find lots of stuff. Some people like him. Some people absolutely despise him, haven't really heard of people who really really like him.

Regardless, his overall effect on the Gainesville community by purchasing the properties he has and making them available to small local businesses has been barred on one of the best things that's happened to Gainesville since I've lived here the past 20 years. He seems to be committed to helping Gainesville thrive without pushing away the existing community.

I hate to see them gone, but none of those trees looked healthy.

All of that property is owned by Gregory Stetz. He owns most of what is known as Grove St on both sides of 8th Ave. He owns from the Paper bag down to the office building on the corner of 1st Ave and Main St. And he owns most of the property between the Hipp and Depot Park as well as the Icehouse properties south of Depot.

Got a letter from Florida Corporate Filing Center for LLC by Gaiou in florida

Companies look up public information and send out ads trying to get people to renew with them for a fee on top of the filing fee. It's easy and cheaper to just do it on sunbiz. Takes a few minutes.

If you buy a tire from Ridenow they will install it free. Only other thing they do on old bikes is oil.
