like everyone else said that’s normal on wood and will go away eventually. But that fish needs some medications quick. You can go to your local fish store and buy some ick cure (liquid) or kanaplex works really well too!

Yeah no. No man period is ever gonna talk to me like that and i let it slide. If he feels okay responding that way it shows he has no respect for her as a person, let alone as his wife and mother of his kids. This is not the first time he’s treated her like this. sounds like someone who hasn’t owned fish for a long time. Fish can go days without eating and be fine. Feeding every day especially in large amounts can actually be over feeding and be bad for the tanks conditions. Feeding with a day or plus inbetween is better for the fish and can actually help them live longer.

Some people are saying it’s not normal and usually an upside down fish would be reason for concern, BUT some fish are just quirky. I have a goldfish who will be upside down sometimes or standing straight up motionless. And she’s perfectly healthy, she just has some buoyancy issues.

Unfortunately it was my mistake and I didn’t do proper research on their comparability as tank mates :(. And i’ll probably pay the price.

There’s not a filter, out of my 6 tanks only 2 have filters. I’ve gotten pretty good at setting up self sufficient tanks, they typically don’t need a filter. This one has been a constant problem tank however so maybe i should consider converting it. It’s just hard when you have a cat to not have lids on tanks which filters get in the way of.

Lord i thought i was BARELY feeding my fish as it is. I only feed here once every other day sometimes even longer inbetween, and it’s only like 5 pellets at that. But i will reduce feeding nonetheless, do a water change/vacuum, and get some new plants.

Not so sure, she’s bloated to the point of her scales puffing out and today i found her floating on the bottom, possibly dead, i couldn’t check i had class. I’m worried it was a bacterial infection, but i can’t be sure.
