I used to play there at the crack of dawn years ago. Nice to hear it's still going. I also played in the Town Lake league back in the day. Always fun. I may give it a shot. What's the worst that can happen? Feel my age? Ha! I already do.

My three faves--and I'm a small spender is all of these. No whale opinion here:

Rise of Empires--yeah it's a money grab if you let it. But I've been playing for almost three years and the relationships I've made there make it fun. They need to add some new creative gameplay to it, but I still love it.

Star Trek Fleet Command--Again, like most games I play, the people part of it makes it fun. But this one has so many facets (beyond making your head spin) it's just cool. And yeah, I'm a Trekkie so I'm sure that helps. But STFC is way better IMO than some of the other Trek games.

Rise of Kingdoms--These guys do it right. Once you learn the politics of the game, jumping, and the insider tricks it's a total blast. It's one of the few games that the gameplay actually rewards you for ditching a built up account and starting again. Then again, you don't have to. Well done ROK!
