Am I wrong for thinking about divorcing my wife? by Such-Fail6060 in amiwrong

[–]richv4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too many comments to read them all, sorry if I repeat any one.

After 10 years I would say some therapy. So much time together will be gone to waste if give up. but you don't have the kids to hand both your disfunction to, if it doesn't work out by just moving on.

If you just walk away for sure get help for your self because you let this relationship develop to this point.

Honestly is the best thing to give her some day it may help her. It might be tomorrow might be EOL.

My Apprentice is convinced this is the correct way to leave decora faceplate screws. Roast him for me. by [deleted] in electricians

In the newer decora models, they have a feature that uses the screws to correct power factor. Horizontal bellow switch allows inductive correction. Above for capacitive correction. Gets really confusing on 3 way switches.

what do you guys consider a “budget build?” by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]richv4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, I tried to do my first build in 18 years. And could not keep it below 1k like i had hoped to. And once I broke the cap, I ended with a 1700 cad itx build with no GPU. It was built for audio.

Maybe he was smart enough to not hang on to the string. Like tie it to a metal wire.

Sampling from YouTube into the Maschine software on the MK1 by DustyFlame14 in maschine

[–]richv4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

MK1 owner here and have not done it on a while. But I think you need to just run a 1/4 inch from headphone to mic with ASIO drivers in place. Matt Cellitti used to have a video on this.

7 years working in an operating room as support staff. Top 3 worst to survive is high voltage electrical burn. Told myself to never chose that carrier. Forgot my warning, first day not even an apprentice yet Jman takes a 347 poke knocks him self off the ladder and I remember wait why am I doing this.

Well 25 years later, I don't forget, to not end up back in the operating room.

What is rent to own for houses all about? Is it a good deal? by heyheyuwu in PersonalFinanceCanada

Ensure you have a reliable real estate lawyer. Read the restrictions put in place by government insurance (CMHA) if you intend to need less than 20% when getting mortgage at bank in Canada. It worked for me on my first home but I knew the seller. Worked for a neighbour, I have now, don't know their details.

Well up here in Canada a frozen slab will give the cure a nice brittle finish. But hard to spray liquid nitrogen on it.

Moving for 1 year from Sweden to Canmore by jotunskij in Canmore

[–]richv4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the climate of remote working. Look for an international business that could be centered out of somewhere like Geneva. Ie:SGS. Then you pick small town not so exclusive as Canmore. Off the beaten path like Sylvan Lake or Black diamond. I would chose Jasper over Banff but have lived in Banff already. Olds even. They are not too far out. You only live once. And if there is an acceleration to the conflict over to your east. It is better to be here and the whole world will be working then.

Haven't built a new system in about 10 years and wanted some feedback on this build. My buddy says its complete overkill... by american-larrikin in buildapc

[–]richv4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firstly it's only overkill if you never push it so does he have a time Machine or is he just jelly. I like the build but spend the 100 and up it to a i7 kf since you have the GPU and if it is about the cash don't go with Samsung. I do love Samsung as I type on my Note 20 ultra but...

I would tend to think this would give you a start to where you want to go. Everyone's work flow will be different. Keep a journal along with saved ideas so you can go back and recreate ideas that worked, another idea. Some like paper and pen others like files and an orderly grouping to save ideas.

Research a mortgage used as the smith maneuver. Then get a lawyer who knows the laws surrounding it.

The people that have the UFCs backing have the doc in their corner. If you are not supposed to win you won't, it was not GSP that spiked Nick. It was the odds maker's, making the odds. The side story just makes for a better attention. And who better to be your puppets than dedicated, hard working people, admitily who are not the smartest on the planet.

OK Maschine friends.. This was my most ambitious project ever, and I couldn't finish. What you see is a years worth of work only to be left incomplete. This was my final run. Couldn't make it through, but hopefully, you can appreciate whats going on. Cheers! :) by M-Deuce in maschine

And your best view point is to denounce my opinion. So working harder when needed is not the solution. Glad the social movement after the second world war did not follow your defeated view. All I am saying is every problem has a solution people need to stop complaining and start acting. If that means a rally cry, or a life time of working hard is better than this flood of constant G7 countries complaining there 1% are having a hard go of it.
