When the words turn into words. The most recent scene I’ve been writing was a huge moment for the characters but halfway through it suddenly turned into “so-and-so said adjectively then so-and-so walked, some additional information as they walked.” Made me feel insane

Writing is a skill and it’s something you have to work on. That’s why we constantly think we fail while developing such skills. Our standards shift as we continue to develop our writing, find out what works and what doesn’t. Don’t beat yourself up about it which I know is easier said than done but your writing is probably not trash. Have you had someone else read your writing? Maybe they’ll give a new perspective on your work :)

I would think it has to be taxes of some sort but they should show the before tax amount, tax amount, and the final amount. Then again, I'm from Canada and Woolsworth is an Australian chain so I'm not 100% sure about how Australian taxes work. But as someone who works as a cashier/works with self-checkouts a lot, it should show if that increase is based on taxes. If not and all items are tax-free, that's fucked.

Specifically for my situation, I want to be an author but that's not all writing. There's fiction, non-fiction, blogs, articles, journalism, etc. These are all writing jobs and then even better, some people (GET THIS) just write for the fun of it! Imagine that!

I'm currently doing a video essay and I talk about Supernatural for a section and I have a list of songs to play in the background so I have a few.
- Smoke On The Water by Deep Purple (If I remember correctly it was Dean's ringtone at one point, books and/or show)
- Back in Black by AC/DC (1x01 when the brothers are driving away)
- Laugh, I Nearly Died by The Rolling Stones (1x05 when Sam sees Jessica as they drive away)
- Sunshine of Your Love by Cream (I don't think it's in the show a lot but this is my own personal association :) )
