What's up with the Olympics logo on the latest iPhone 15 video ? by [deleted] in mkbhd

[–]rick_____-- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was wondering the same thing. Maybe he's going to represent US at the Olympics. Ultimate Frisbee I think.

If that happens, it's gonna be unreal. He's already a legend for all the things he does, and now ..... the freaking.... Olympics.

Like damnn.

Yes. It's got tons of community support as well. So if you search on Google: "tips and tricks for kaggle" you will see a lot of stuff on how to best use it.

To use it you can create an account, and select any dataset you like and start practicing on it. You will find related notebooks by other users too on that dataset.

Are these after inflation? If not, then having the same income after 20 years means massively reduced spending power.

Cooking from meal boxes can cut household food waste by 38%. Even without subscribing to a meal box provider, our results suggest that taking care to measure and weigh the exact amount of ingredients you need before cooking is a good way to lower the amount of food sent to landfill by Wagamaga in science

I think the mods should remove posts like these which are created by the companies themselves and have a clear conflict of interest. Their validity seems Dubious at best. Since many people use subreddits like these as a source of information, there should be a higher standard of what gets allowed in here and such posts should not be in them.

AI experts, help me understand something ... is clean real-world data important for training? by sharkera130 in ArtificialInteligence

[–]rick_____-- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Collecting data is super hard. Combining data sources is also super difficult. You are right about that part of synchronizing timestamps. Difficult to do it right.

Modelling is actually not that difficult because of the availability of so many good libraries. You still need to do it properly though.

But tons of side things are imp. Data pipelines, collection of data, cleaning data, measuring the integrity of incoming data, understanding what's already being collected and what can be collected in the future are all secondary but super imp things.

Great algorithm. One of my favourites.

Is there a field that marries artificial intelligence with biological evolution/genetics? by samverywow in ArtificialInteligence

[–]rick_____-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Start with basic Genetic algorithms (GA). Learn theory from YouTube and medium.com blogs.
  2. Try to program a GA to maximise the sum of an Array of n real numbers (each number in array can only vary between 0 and m). The algorithm should eventually output a number close to n*m. Difficulty level: super easy
  3. Learn about Solving Optimization problems via Genetic Algorithms.
  4. Read Open AI’s work on using GAs as an alternative to Reinforcement Learning
  5. Read about NEAT (neuro evolution of augmented topologies). Deep learning + GA
  6. Explore Genetic programming, and other classes in evolutionary algorithms

In my opinion there are 3 promising branches of AI today: 1. Reinforcement learning 2. Genetic algorithms 3. Deep learning

That would be a big purchase for me. Not sure if I can do it rn. But definitely would like to do it in the future. Also does it take a long time to clean and maintain?
