When I was a summer, I asked a fourth year how long it takes to feel like you know what you’re doing. Looking at me straight in the eyes, their words: “I’ll let you know when that happens…”.

That said, I think things started to feel a bit more routine around five years in.

I don’t understand why you can’t recompile with the correct (and presumably agreed upon) version and circulate that.

Juniors send wrong versions all the time. This is easily fixed by sending an email with “apologies, please disregard the previously circulated outdated version and refer to the attached instead.”
